“The Good Father.”

Updated: Mar 21, 2023

Father, in some format, is mentioned 1,718 times in the entirety of the scriptures; but what is a ‘father,’ and what makes a good father– or man?

In addition to the Fruits of the Spirit of God– love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control– and the 7 Spirits of God– the Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the of fear of the LORD…

What makes a GOOD FATHER,

as he is our Father and Creator–

First and foremost??

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 23:9

“Call no man your father upon the earth– for one is your Father, who is in heaven.”

Ephesians 4:6

“One God and Father of all– who is above all– and through all, and in you all.”

Jeremiah 3:4

“Will you not, from this time, cry unto me– My father, you are the guide of my youth.?”

Malachi 1:6

“A son honors his father, and a servant– his master: if then I be a father– where is mine honor? And if I am a master– where is my fear [honor] –says the Lord of hosts unto you…”

Malachi 2:10

“Have we not all one Father?

Have we not one God who created us?

[Then] why do we deal treacherously, every man against his brother– by profaning the covenant of our fathers?”

Isaiah 9:6

“For unto us a child is born– unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder– and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace.”

[Side note– the scripture just called the Son, the EVERLASTING FATHER– and yet folks deny ONENESS, and hold to Trinitarianism;

“if you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father–

and the Father and I are one.”

(John 14:9, John 10:30).]

John 14:7

“If you had known me– you should have known my Father also: and from henceforth you [do] know him, and have seen him.” (As seeing Yah’shua)

Isaiah 63:15-16

“Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory: where is your zeal and your strength, the sounding of your bowels and of your mercies toward me? Are they restrained?

16 Doubtless you are our father– though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledges us not: you, O Lord, are our Father, our redeemer; your name is from everlasting.”

Isaiah 64:8

“But now, O Lord– you are our father; we are the clay, and you our potter; and we all are the work of your hand.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Father, the one we came from– the one who pulled parts of himself together to compile a composite called– YOU and ME; he is the one to be modeled after. He is the one we are to be reconciled to. He is the one that Yah’shua came to exemplify in word and deed– only doing what his Father showed him he himself did, and only what the Father said to him, to do.

We, all humans and children of our Creator, ought to model our INSIDES after our Father– in who we are reconciled to once again, by the work of the Cross, and our model– Yah’shua.

It is not just for men, but for all mankind– as we are now neither Jew nor Greek, nor male or female– but all are one, in the Lord, since, and because of– our Savior and his Salvation.

But what is his model?

What did Father model to the men and women of old, and to our example, our Lord, Yah’shua?

For many have come and gone of men in the earth– but did they follow the ways of our Lord and Father?

____________________________________________________________

2 Kings 18:3– “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father did.” 2 Kings 24:9– “And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father had done.”

1 Chronicles 28:9– “And you– Solomon my son– you know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him– he will be found of you; but if you forsake him– he will cast you off forever.”

1 Chronicles 29:10– “Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said– Blessed be you, Lord God of Israel our Father, forever and ever.”

___________________________________________________________

Our Father, as a good Father– SEARCHES HEARTS and IMAGINATIONS of men– and promises that if you seek him, you will find him; he is a just Father, and he will give us what we truly desire.

He will give us evil, if we seek out the devil’s ways and eat off his platter of choices, from his table– but if we seek the Lord, righteousness, love, and his attributes, person and nature– we will receive off of his table of benefits.

But the choice is ALWAYS– ours to make;

here, David blessed the Lord.

Our living choices, that flow from our hearts and imaginations [mind thoughts] –matter, and have consequences; we are essentially confirming what will come to us, from the spirit realm, based upon which table we take from, and whom we serve this day– from our insides.

And the Good Father of Lights–

searches those hearts, minds and imaginations–

and gives back accordingly.

H1 – Father (the first word in Strong’s numbering)

Definition: FATHER [in literal or figurative format], CHIEF or PRINCIPAL One. (as well in the New Testament– G3962)

This states, our Father from above–

is the CHIEF and PRINCIPAL ONE in our lives.

____________________________________________________________

H87 – Abram

Definition: HIGH FATHER.

H85 – Abraham

Definition: (meaning to be populous); FATHER OF A MULTITUDE.

Our father figure in the faith, Abraham, is in both of his names called– the HIGH FATHER OF A MULTITUDE– for he modeled the High One himself, in spirit– and fathered a spiritual generation of people, greater than the sands of the earth in multitude.

Genesis 26:24

“And the Lord appeared unto him the same night, and said– I am the God of Abraham your father: fear not, for I am with you, and I will bless you, and multiply your seed for my servant Abraham's sake.”

H1288 – Bless

Definition: to kneel; AN ACT OF ADORATION, BENEFIT MAN.

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 20:23

“And he said unto them– You shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give– but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.”

John 14:1-3

“Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God– believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go– to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go, and prepare a place for you– I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that wherever I am– there you may be also.”

1 Kings 8:20

“And the Lord has performed his word that he spoke– and I am raised up into the room of David my father– and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised– and have built a house for the name of the Lord God of Israel.”

____________________________________________________________

The Good Father– PREPARES A PLACE FOR US, and A POSITION FOR US; a place of a dwelling in his domain, our home– but also– a position within his kingdom.

God, our Good Father, is a God of FAITHFULNESS– if he has promised a thing, and conditions have been met– he will PERFORM HIS WORD– which is to say, come through, and fulfill the promises.

He builds a house for us, and we build a house for him– within us, and this is how we abide together, since Calvary– and forever more, together, AS ONE.

____________________________________________________________

1 Samuel 2:30

“Wherefore the Lord God of Israel says– I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me forever: but now the Lord says– Be it far from me; for them who honor me, I will honor– but they who despise me, shall be lightly esteemed.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Father is a God of honor himself– in his character, conduct, love and ways in which he cares for us; he is not twisted, or perverse– nor does he treat anyone unjustly.

Our Good Father is a father of his WORD– he does not lie, nor is he slack in his person; but when we are, and we bring dishonor to our Father– we will be not honored, or favored– we will only be ‘lightly esteemed,’ of him.

And this is JUST– for our Good Father– is a God of Justice.

“He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong– upright and just is he.” (Deuteronomy 32:4)

____________________________________________________________

John 11:41

“... Father– I thank you that you have heard me.”

1 Kings 3:5

“In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said– Ask what I shall give you.”

7 And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king instead of David my father: but I am but a little child– I know not how to go out or come in. 8 And your servant is in the midst of your people– whom you have chosen– a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

9 Give therefore your servant an UNDERSTANDING HEART, to judge your people– that I may DISCERN BETWEEN GOOD and BAD: for who is able to judge so great a people?

10 And the speech pleased the Lord– that Solomon had asked this thing.

11 And God said unto him– Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself long life; neither have you asked of riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies; but have asked for yourself UNDERSTANDING TO DISCERN JUDGEMENT; 12 Behold, I have done according to your words: lo, I have given you a WISE and an UNDERSTANDING HEART– so that there was none like you, before you– neither after you shall any arise like unto you.

13 And I have also given you that in which you have not asked for– both RICHES, and HONOR: so that there shall not be any among the kings like you– all your days. 14 And if you will WALK IN MY WAYS, to KEEP MY STATUTES and MY COMMANDMENTS– as your father David did walk– then I will lengthen your days.”

1 Kings 6:12-13

“Concerning this house which you are building– if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them– then I will perform my word with you– which I spoke to David, your father: 13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”

Romans 6:4

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised up from the dead– by the glory of the Father– even so we also should walk in the newness of life.”

I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.”

John 12:50

“And I know that his commandment is LIFE EVERLASTING: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said it unto me– so I speak.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father– HEARS US!

He is a Father of understanding and discernment for good and evil; he asks us to walk in those ways of his, as well, and his commands and statutes. And in doing so, he blesses us with long life, and with LIFE EVERLASTING; all he does is for Good reason, and those good reasons are LIFE [which is more than to ‘be alive’ forevermore– it is HOW one will ‘be,’ in that long existence].

And it is by keeping his ways, statutes and his commands he orders of us, in our steps– that we obtain, keep, and ABIDE IN– Life Everlasting, with him: since Calvary, and our Salvation, we are ONE WITH HIM, in all ways now– and have access to this, through the Messiah.

____________________________________________________________

Psalm 27:10

“When my father and my mother forsake me– then the Lord will take me up.” Psalm 89:26– “He shall cry unto me– You are my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.”

Psalm 68:5– “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows– is God in his holy habitation.” Psalm 103:13– “Like a father pities his children– so the Lord pities those who fear him.”

____________________________________________________________

When everyone else rejects us and forgets about us, when we cry to him as our everything– our Good Father pities us– we who honor him.

For he is a Father to the fatherless [even where good fathers in the carnal were not what one experienced], and a judge of widows [looks to be the authority over them, to care for them] –HE IS– our holy habitation.

[our ‘home’]

____________________________________________________________

Proverbs 3:12

“For whom the Lord loves– he corrects; even as the father over the son in whom he delights.”

Proverbs 4:1

“Hear children– the instruction of a father– and attend to know understanding.”

Numbers 12:14

“And the Lord said unto Moses– If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed for seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp for seven days– and after that let her be received in again.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father, is a Father of CORRECTION, which is to say, a Father of REFORMING, and REMODELING, in that which has fallen from its original shape and form– BECAUSE, he delights in us; he wishes for us to walk in and move in UNDERSTANDING– and we do that– by his INSTRUCTIONS [which are his statutes, laws and commands of his leadership].

All that our Good Father corrects us of, is for our BETTERMENT, and so the devil has NO HOLD IN US, a place for the operations of satan– is NOT FOUND IN US: in that, in following him and his ways– there is freedom from bondage.

Words of Yah’shua

In the Gospels

Matthew 5:48

“Be therefore perfect– even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect.”

G5046 – Perfect

Definition: COMPLETE (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral character etc.) - OF FULL AGE [mature].

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father desires for us to be COMPLETE, and WHOLE; it is exactly ‘why’ he instructs us, corrects us and reforms us into his image again– for in that– he matures us, into FULL AGE spiritually.

This is his goal with his children– we his children, he our Father– to RAISE UP his babies, into men and women who follow after our Father in all his ways; it was the intent from before the beginning, and in the Garden, from the first day with ‘man.’

A Good Father– helps his children to become WHOLE and COMPLETE INDIVIDUALS, raised up properly in the Lord, and his ways thereof.

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 6:6

“But you– when you pray– enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door– pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret– shall reward you openly.”

8 “Be not therefore like them [Pharisees, hypocrites, showboaters] –for your Father knows what things you have need of– before you ask him.”

____________________________________________________________

Not only is our Good Father a REWARDER, but he likes us to be INTIMATE with him, to not do things so others will thank us, or praise us, or think of us a certain way– but to do it to the one in whom it matters, and to the one in whom can see all things, and to the one in whom– THE ONLY PRAISE GIVEN SHOULD BE TO; and as we do this privately with him, needing no ‘pat-on-the-back’ for our efforts, PUBLICALLY…

Our Father, who sees all we do, FROM THE INSIDE TRUTHS– will reward us PUBLICALLY, for all to see– for we NEEDED NOT THE GLORY, or the applause, or the credit; he already knows what we need, before we ask.

We don’t need to make a show of anything– he is our provider, and all glory is to be given to him; he knows what sacrifices we are living, and unto whom we are ministering.

Public praise unto him, as he publicly honors us, himself– is a glorious gift to him; honor him in the highways, and the byways– and unto all we come in contact with.

For THAT– is worthy of public display– when we SHARE HIM, with the world– and all his glorious person that he is.

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 7:11

“If you then– being evil– know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father, who is in heaven, give good things to those who ask him?”

James 1:17

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father is a God of GIFT GIVING and blessing; he gifts us many things, of which are not just material gifts and care– but spiritual.

He gives them out to all, and not just a few but SEVERAL!

He gives gifts of wisdom, gifts of words of knowledge, gifts of faith, the gifts of healing, the working of miracles, gifts of prophecy, gifts of discerning of spirits, gifts of diverse kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues.

1 Corinthians 12:11– “But all these work from that one and the selfsame Spirit– dividing to every man severally as he will.”

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 16:27

“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father– with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”

Matthew 26:53

“Do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father– and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?”

Psalms 91:11 & 12

“For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father takes care of us in all ways; and one of those ways is that he sends our fellow servants– THE ANGELS– to see to our needs, straight from the Father of Lights himself.

He is our great provider, and we need only to worship him, love him, follow him and emulate him as his children– and he will care for us in all ways– as his will is concerning us from heaven, and his throne– so it shall be in earth, and in our earthen vessels and lives.

There really are NO BOUNDS–

from the

Merciful and Loving–

Good Father– toward his children.

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 25:34

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand– Come, you who are blessed of my Father– and inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”

____________________________________________________________

Our God, our Good Father, is a father who provides an INHERITANCE to his children; he prepares, he sets ahead of time, from his love for us– what we will walk into of his provisions.

He is not selfish, he is a God of abundance– not material only, but IN SPIRIT– in his conduct, his attributes, his nature; for a person does not give from their wallet, off their backs, from their treasures, or any other way– BEFORE, one gives from his HEART.

Our Good Father– has an ABUNDANT HEART–

and we are the recipients of it!

We ought to honor him in all ways, and love him in return– and he told us already how to show, and give, our love back to him: follow him; his lead, his statutes, his commandments– and returning to LOOK LIKE HIM, in word and deed– as we are reconfigured back into his image.

God bless our GOOD FATHER!!!

____________________________________________________________

Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you forgive men their trespasses [against you] –your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses [against you] –neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

____________________________________________________________

Again, our Good Father is JUST, and FORGIVENESS IS A VIRTUE of his; we are to operate in dismissing charges against one another too, for in this– we demonstrate our Father in Spirit.

A good father– is one who holds no offenses over his children, but dismisses them, forgives the offenses, and annuls them– as if they never were; but he will INSTRUCT, CORRECT, and REFORM– simultaneously.

____________________________________________________________

John 5:17

“But Jesus answered them– My Father works hitherto [now], and I work.

18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him– because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that–God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them– Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but [only] what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he [the Father] does– these also does the Son likewise. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does: and he will show him greater works than these– so that you may marvel.”

John 5:30 & 32

“I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear– I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will– but the will of the Father who has sent me. 31 If I bear witness of myself– my witness is not true.

32 There is another who bears witness of me; and I know that the witness of which he witnesses of me– is true.”

John 10:32

“Jesus answered them– Many good works have I shown unto you from my Father…”

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father is a HARD WORKER, and he will WITNESS of such; he instructs his children, of which Yah’shua being the chiefest of us, the one in whom MANY WILL FOLLOW, in the ways of the Father– he, being the firstborn of many brethren– the FIRST RAISED UP IN THE WAY, perfectly, of Father God.

And HIS example was that of a HARD WORKER; one who sacrifices for the saving and good of the others. This work, we are to do as well, as we SERVE our Lord, Savior, Creator and Good Father– and emulate his person, conduct, words and deeds– to the Lost and suffering world.

A good father–

will work hard FOR his children,

and WITH– his children.

____________________________________________________________

John 6:27

“Labour not for the meat that perishes– but for that meat that endures unto everlasting life– that the Son of man shall give unto you: for he, has God the Father sealed.”

Ephesians 1:13

“In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth– the gospel of your salvation: in whom also– after that you believed, you were sealed with that HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE, 14 which is the earnest of our inheritance– until the redemption of the purchased possession– unto the praise of his glory.

Ephesians 4:30

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God– whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

2 Corinthians 1:22

“Who has also sealed us– and given the earnestness of the Spirit in our hearts.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father– SEALS US– with an everlasting seal; and no one takes anything, or anyone from his hand– he told us so!

The SEAL– is the Holy Spirit within us; he sealed Yah’shua, and then Yah’shua sent him to us [the Comforter, who comes from the Father], and in receiving the Holy Spirit, God says…

HE– the Holy Spirit, is the SPIRIT OF PROMISE; he is our MOST EARNEST INHERITANCE of the Father– until the full redemption of the purchased possession takes place [when we are in all our glory with him too].

Do not grieve him, for we are SEALED UP WITH HIM, and BY HIM– until the Day of Redemption comes.

HE IS OUR FREE GIFT GIVEN– obtained from the free gift of the life of Yah’shua our savior– upon his walk, life, and ministry unto the Father– to the completion of Calvary.

DON’T WASTE, HURT or GRIEVE– our ‘gift–’ who is God in Spirit, given us from Calvary: our inheritance, until all the fullness of the FULL REDEMPTIVE POSSESSION takes hold, and we are in our glory with our God, forevermore.

____________________________________________________________

John 6:45

“It is written in the prophets– And they shall be all taught of God.

Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father– comes unto me.”

John 14:16-17

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

____________________________________________________________

Our Good Father is a TEACHER, as all fathers are– and he sends to us his Spirit, the Comforter, from the Son and his gift of Calvary– and the Holy Spirit will bring us into ALL TRUTH– as he is the One who raised up our great Rabbi himself: Yah’shua, the High Priest now of our confession.

WE– do not seek him first– our Good Father calls us out, chooses us– and seeks us out again; he knocks and he knocks on the doors of our hearts– until we open-up to him. And he comes in, and lives with us– when we open to him, and accept him, and love him, and revere him– and allow his Spirit to REFORM US back into his glorious image: inside and out.

He calls, chooses, teaches and leads– by his Holy Spirit; so grieve him not– but HONOR HIM, LOVE HIM, SEEK HIM DAILY, and ABIDE BY, OBEY and TRUST HIM in all he leads, commands and speaks.

A good father– teaches and instructs his children;

and THAT–

is always done with the Counselor and the Comforter.

____________________________________________________________

Romans 8:15

“For you have not received the spirit of bondage again– to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption– whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

____________________________________________________________

ADOPTION– amen!!!??

One of the GREATEST of the Good Father’s attributes, toward us, is– his GREAT HEART TO ADOPT US– after we estranged ourselves from him, during ‘the fall.’

We may not have earthly fathers that lived how God intended, or modeled– but we DO HAVE– our Heavenly Father, WHO ADOPTED US, when perhaps– no one else would have; we have a Good Father, who looked past all of our shortcomings, and loved the ‘man’ we WOULD BECOME, [or return to] as he reformed us, and sees us– as he sees his Son: Yah’shua Hamashiach– the Messiah.

We have a Father SO GOOD, that– not only did he create us, watch us fall, and STILL come back to ‘make a way home’ for us– but he RECONCILED HIMSELF TO US, to REFORM US BACK into the way he made us originally; HE DIDN’T GIVE UP ON US, or altogether SCRAP US, cast us aside or FORSAKE US.

NO!

He CAME BACK FOR US, over and again– but ONCE FINALLY– in the Son, and his Sacrifice to reconcile us again, to our Good Father– leaving us with HIS SPIRIT– forevermore.

And he CALLED US, KNOCKED and KNOCKED ON OUR HEART DOORS, CHOSE US FROM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION of creation– and he COULD NOT LIVE WITH THE THOUGHT– of NOT LIVING WITH US FOR ETERNITY.

No matter your earthly experience– you should get to know your REAL FATHER again– because he has pulled out all the stops to do so; and he is WORTH IT!!!

___________________________________________________________

But what can WE DO for such a Good Father–

and the lover of our souls???

___________________________________________________________

John 4:23

“The hour comes– and now is– when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in– spirit and in truth– for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

John 14:26

“But the Comforter– who is the Holy Ghost– whom the Father will send in my name– he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

John 14:21 & 23

“He that has my commandments, and keeps them [that means knows what they are, and lives by them] –it is he who loves me: and he who loves me– shall be loved by my Father– and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

23 “Jesus answered and said to him– If a man loves me– he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

John 14:31

“So that the world may know that I love the Father– and as the Father gave me commandments– even so I do [unto you] –Arise, let us go hence.”

John 15:8

“Herein is my Father glorified– that you bear much fruit; and so you shall be my disciples.”

John 15:16

“You have not chosen me– but I have chosen you, and ordained you– so that you should go and bring forth fruit– and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name– he may give it you.”

__________________________________________________________

Our Father is a GOOD FATHER, and he has modeled it so, over and again in the scripture; and we ought to honor him in the manner in which he has asked of us.

And so, we ought to emulate him in our conduct and word: our character.

____________________________________________________________

Remember, FATHER, means–

CHIEF or PRINCIPAL ONE–

that can go for women too.

____________________________________________________________

Good fathers: search hearts, minds and imaginations– and give accordingly; we CAN know one another, if we try to. We can ask, fellowship and actively listen– with LOVE; and in that– we can KNOW the hearts of our brethren, and children.

Good fathers: prepare a place for us, and a position for us within the family– they have forethought and care over our provisions and our placement within the family.

Good fathers: are fathers of their word, are just and upright.

Good fathers: hear us, and teach us how to ‘be,’ following the ways of the Lord in his statutes, commands, nature, words and deeds; they are great examples of holiness and uprightness– and they are sacrificial in their love.

They mold us, correct us– and raise us up– in the ways to be, according to the Father God.

Good fathers: MATURE US, inside, in character and integrity; they assist our inner man, in spiritual growth.

Good fathers: do not forsake us– but are great supports to us; he pities his children and cares for them.

Good fathers: reward their children for the work in private– and give to them in favor, and favorable things– outwardly; and they give good gifts.

Good fathers: engage with God, and call upon the assistance, the fellow servants of our Lord– in the angelic; they pray, intercede and work with Father to instruct the angels of the Father’s will to be done– concerning their children. For the Good Father from above– has ordained it so; as good fathers are merciful and loving.

Good fathers: provide an inheritance for their children, from the abundance of their hearts; and inheritance can come in many formats and forms [not wealth monetary, alone].

Good fathers: walk in a virtue of forgiveness, and they dismiss charges [offenses] against their children– out of Love and Mercy.

Good fathers: are hard workers, both FOR, and WITH their children– as they raise them up in the ways of the Lord; and as they instruct them, and exemplify for them– how to be in conduct of character, and in how to prosper in the way.

Good fathers: seal us up; they KEEP US SAFE and accounted for. They let no one take from us, and if they do– they COME FOR THEM– to retrieve it back unto their children.

Good fathers: ADOPT US; sure, we can be orphans in this world in a number of ways– but GOD– is the ADOPTIVE FATHER OF ORPHANS; and in that– we ARE NEVER ORPHANS AGAIN. We are NEVER estranged again; once adopted into his family– it’s really hard to become estranged again from our heavenly Father– one would have to EFFORT at that WITH SERIOUS EFFORT– for he has sealed us with his Spirit.

Adoption into the family– is what GOOD FATHERS DO!

And they LOVE US, AS IF WE WERE THEIRS ALL ALONG,

and we WERE NEVER APART.

____________________________________________________________

We have a GOOD FATHER– and we can be modeled after him, and be good children toward our Father too; he tells us how to do so, right in scripture. He tells us– “If you LOVE ME…follow me.”

Which really means– follow his ways, his attributes, his leading, his counsel, his understanding, his wisdom, his knowledge, his statutes, his commands, and ANYTHING ELSE HE ASKS OF US.

FOLLOW THE GOOD FATHER– if you love him.
