I’ve come to understand a few things about our ‘stories’ here on earth in the past so many years, and even a bit more today. You see our stories are our lives— and a yarn is a story with a storyline.
As I sat for about 30 minutes untangling a loose bolt of yarn that had become entangled… I began to realize a few things:
The yarn itself was loose, and being loosed— caused it to become entangled; it lost its original shape and became entangled.
2. The yarn itself was not really tangled in knots, per-say— it was caught up upon itself. It was not yarn that had frayed, broken, and been tied together in a knot— it was an entanglement upon itself —but the yarn itself was still whole, not broken, though entangled upon itself.
3. As well, it took loosening it before it could be untangled.
4. It also took long-suffering patience and time, as well as being at peace to even fulfill the loosening phase of untangling the yarn.
5. And it wasn’t until I finished loosening it from its tight folding in upon itself, in loose rows on the floor— that I was even ready to reform it properly, and re-roll the yarn (story/life) back into the better state of being.
Isn’t it similar to us?
I mean, first of all God told us in 2 Timothy 2:4 – “No man who wars— entangles himself with the affairs of this life; (so/in) that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.”

G4754 is the word for WAR, above, and this is it’s definition:

Definition: Middle voice from the base of G4756; to serve in a military campaign; figuratively (or spiritually) to execute the apostolate (with its arduous duties and functions) to contend with carnal inclinations: soldier (go to) war.
G1707 is the word for ENTANGLES HIMSELF, above, and its definition is:
Greek: ἐμπλέκω
Transliteration: emplekō
Pronunciation: em-plek'-o
Definition: From G1722 and G4120; to entwine —that is (figuratively/spiritually) involve with: entangle (in self with).
G4230 is the word AFFAIRS in Strongs, in the above verse, and it means:
Greek: πραγματεία
Transliteration: pragmateia
Pronunciation: prag-mat-i'-ah
Definition: From G4231; a transaction —that is — negotiation: affair.
G979 in the above verse is LIFE, and it means:
Greek: βίος
Transliteration: bios
Pronunciation: bee'-os
Definition: A primary word; life —that is (literally) the present state of existence; by implication the means of livelihood.
G700 is the word PLEASE in the above scripture verse, and it means:
Greek: ἀρέσκω
Transliteration: areskō
Pronunciation: ar-es'-ko
Definition: Probably from G142 (through the idea of exciting emotion); to be agreeable (or by implication, to seek to be so): please.
G4758 is the word SOLDIER, above, and it means:
Greek: στρατολογέω
Transliteration: stratologeō
Pronunciation: strat-ol-og-eh'-o
Definition: From a compound of the base of G4756 and G3004 (in its original sense); to gather (or select) as a warrior that is enlisted in the army: choose to be a soldier.

So let’s put this verse back together again with the Strong’s definitions:
2 Timothy 2:4 – “No man who wars, no man who serves in a military campaign with God, who executes the spiritual apostolic duties and functions (laying truth foundations) will not contend against carnal inclinations (fight against them) —nor will he entangle, or entwine himself, involve himself with carnal inclinations, with the affairs, or transactions and negotiations of the this life —this present state of existence.
So, or in that he may please, or become agreeable with he who has chosen him to be a soldier, or to be enlisted in his army.”

You see, this is the same for that ball of yarn, or humans. If we will not walk in the laid foundations of the truth (and he is a person), and we will not walk in the Spirit, and live in the eternal— as our primary existence, even whilst here— we will entangle ourselves with the affairs of this life; we will get wrapped up upon ourselves, looping back around, entangling ourselves— upon ourselves, with a focus on ourselves— in this realm (the temporal and material): and we will forget to live from the eternal, and to bring the eternal (and all its reality) into this one— transforming the temporal time space realm.
We will become combat ineffective here, when we wrap ourselves around the material realm, more rooted in it— than the eternal life we have entered into within Jesus.
We will be too rooted in life looked at from a linear time perspective— as if all is said and done, and nothing can be changed or altered— because we are living in the former state of being— rather than the newly created, and eternal state of being: we will become a yarn entangled upon its former state of being, all because it became loose in its spiritual life, upon the earth.
We will see the former yarn (story/life) shape go from a perfect bolt of yarn, into a loose (old man mindset and carnal form), and entangled mess of a yarn (storyline/life) shape: and we will be entangled with the affairs of the world, with the spirit of this world, with old ways of living, with hopeless, helpless thinking— all because we kept looping back over ourselves.
We kept going back to a former way of living, in a former and inferior mindset, looking at this time and space realm— as if it were eternal and the real reality— when it is finite (limited), and it is not the real reality— it’s a broken facade of the real reality, and it is molded by the real spiritual reality, realm, and inhabitants of.
When we will slow down, and enter back into shalom (peaceful state), and loosen what was binding us up, what we found our mind caught up in again— and we will loosen with Jesus and the Holy Spirit— from all that thinking and focus, and belief… Then we can, with God, and with time and practice, and patiently walking with God and ourselves… We can untangle (loose) ourselves from that former entangled state and mind of being; and we can straighten out our inner man, and bring our inner man back into his right mind, right storyline, right new man life in Christ Jesus; and begin to untangle (quantumly) from that spiritual alignment to death and hell— and re-engage God, our true and right mind, our new man creation shape, and walking and abiding in the eternal, our real identity— and bring it back into this temporal space and time life (your soul and body here).
And as we do this— we untangle our yarn, and after we untangle our identity and storyline here, and get back into our right mind (the mind of Christ), and we begin to walk and live in the eternal life again… We will untangle ourselves from earthly affairs, and the carnal temporal realm— and start to bring ‘as in heaven, so in earth’ into actual play here in this time and space realm.
We get loosed from the entanglements first (just like I loosened all the yarn on the floor in rows, back and forth— so that I could easily roll it back up into the reformed shaped, easily) —we will then be readied for the reformation to take place, where we resume our proper, or even yet— better— shape, reality, identity, functionality, perspective, and ways: we will have repented, and loosened ourselves from being carnally minded— and remaining limited by that spiritual entanglement with hell— and we will be freed to resume our proper and eternal shape once again: the stature of Christ Jesus— in the earth, time and space realm.
It’s truly just ourselves getting all entangled once again, upon ourselves; focus on ourselves— and worse yet, in a carnal mind that fears, and sees hopelessness, and helplessness, and cannot see clearly in the spirit— because it exited that eternal identity and space in God, and found ourselves entangled with earthly affairs, minded upon them— and from a state of finality— where we do not think things can be changed, amended, or revisited with the eternal God— who holds eternal answers, that can alter this realm and its inhabitants— powerfully.
We loop back, we lay things around again— entangling ourselves again and again in the old man nature, ways, minding, thinking, emotions, and reasoning: we lean on that— instead of acknowledging God in all our ways— letting him direct our path, as it is in heaven.
A tangled and messy storyline(life), just takes patience, long-suffering, union with God, the truth— and living from his Spirit, in union with, walking in the eternal realm— keeping our minds rooted and grounded there, and bringing that reality into this one— to come out of that quantum (spiritual, multidimensional) entanglement, and into life as it is in heaven, HERE!
We simply need to stop folding ourselves, over ourselves, again and again— and see that we are wrapping our own selves up in limited thinking, stinking thinking, in ties that have bound us to believe that what you see and feel down here— is the real, and primary reality: and it just isn’t, nothing could be further from the truth.
So— if we find that we have become all tangled up, confused, hog-tied, and unable to seemingly move down here (inside, in thinking and emotions) —then simply follow the instructions above, and work them:
Loose yourself from the mindset, the thoughts, the behaviors, the beliefs— by renouncing agreement with the carnal mind and identity as the real identity— and loose yourself from that entanglement, spiritually— and bind yourself, tie yourself back up to the eternal identity you and God are, and begin to take the first few steps of coming into your right mind again (the mind of Christ Jesus), and into your right identity once again— which leaves the old man and his ways behind, which is entanglement with this life, the affairs of this life, and being entangled with the spirit of this world.
2. Stop allowing yourself to GO BACK TO the old thoughts, old beliefs, old patterns— around, and around, and around again— entangling yourself with that spirit, that thinking, that belief pattern, and way of life: you’re not really all tied up and kept from your freedom— you just got wrapped around yourself again— so repent for staring at yourself again, leaning on your own reasoning again, and being the focus again— and not God, not his understanding, and not your real identity, your spiritual and eternal person.
3. Enter back into shalom with God, get your mind and heart right with God, realign with him and the truth again, and the real reality and identity again (found in Christ), see you are not broken— you are entangled upon the old man again, be patient and long-suffering with yourself, and with the process of untangling your storyline/life/yarn— so that you and God together— can reform you into the better state of being in this realm, based upon how great you are in his heavenly realm with him.
4. And then— with him, co-laboring— let him tell your story now. Let God show you and tell you who you are, and what you mean to him, and how precious you are, and what you are capable of, and how he and you will walk together in the heavenly realm— and bring that life together into this realm, changing this realm!
5. THEN WALK IN THE SPIRIT WITH GOD: Let God— lead you. Let God— define you. Let God— love you. And you— begin to live in your real identity, in the real truth, in heaven— bringing that to your earth, your soul, your body, your life here in this temporal realm.
This is what I’ve been able to see with God: we are yarns— God is telling; and the emphasis is on the part where GOD— is telling this story, and he will get us to see this, the real story, our real identity, the real reality— one way or another, one time or another; but he will tell his story, his way, in the truth, and we will listen.
I pray we listen now. I pray we hear him on this now. I pray we partner with him now— and untangle ourselves from the mess of looping back over ourselves in our yarns, or storylines; and instead— we would let God tell our stories, and sit with him as he reads/reveals it to us; and that we would much more quickly come into agreement with him in our hearts, minds, emotions and beliefs.
Because that is what God is attempting to do with us— untangle us from the spirit of this world, from seeing through the eyes of the spirit of this world, from believing the spirit of this world, being limited by the affiliation with the spirit of this world… and coming back into our right minds, right identities, right reality— the eternal, limitless realm of possibilities, where we believe God again, and we trust him, and we listen to him tell us the truth: and we believe the truth— and God is the truth, and he has the truth— best we come into agreement with him in this now; because it’s available— now.
A tangled storyline/life/yarn, is just that; and it can be untangled. But it must first stop looping back upon itself, losing its proper shape. That life needs to see what is happening, stop, come back into the peace that God is here and he can, and is willing to jump in and help us untangle all this; then be patient with the slow, methodic, tedious— but necessary— untangling process (which means— the straightening out process). Go through it all the way, until all is cleared up, all is peaceful and set right again— and don’t stop doing that— as you and God couple together to regain, reacquire, reform your inner and outer man (mind, emotions, will, actions).
This is the process of untangling yarn, and this is the process of untangling a life that is caught up on the wrong spiritual (quantum) dynamics: God is attempting to straighten us out— we need to partner with him. But that’s the beauty of it. We have already experienced being separated from him in our realms (souls: mind, emotions, thinking/reasoning, beliefs, actions, will, etc); it’s now time to see what it’s like to live in, and from— the eternal true reality with him, reunited, entangled with God— and eternal and heavenly affairs, instead.
God bless you on this journey— you’re just straightening out yarn; and you can easily do that with our Lord: couple with the eternal God, in the eternal reality, in the eternal identity— and slay the temporal and the limited, right now!
