“Before destruction [fracture, ruin, affliction, breach, bruising, crashing, hurt and vexation]— the heart [feelings, will, understanding and intellect] of man is haughty [lofty, exalted, high and lifted up, proud, raised up to great heights], and before honor [glory]— humility.”
Proverbs 22:4

G5012 — Humility
Greek: ταπεινοφροσύνη
Transliteration: tapeinophrosunē

Pride— a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, consciousness of one's own dignity, confidence and self-respect; root definition— late Old English prȳde ‘excessive self-esteem’, variant of prȳtu, prȳte, from prūd (see proud).
Proud— having or showing a high or excessively high opinion of oneself or one's importance, imposing, projecting, protruding, sticking out or up; root definition— late Old English prūt, prūd ‘having a high opinion of one's own worth’, from Old French prud ‘valiant’, based on Latin prodesse ‘be of value’. The phrase proud flesh dates back to late Middle English, but the sense ‘slightly projecting’ is first recorded in English dialect of the 19th century.
Projecting— extending outward beyond something else— protruding, cause to move forward or outward, imagine (oneself, a situation, etc.) as having moved to a different place or time, present or promote a particular view or image, present (someone or something) in a way intended to create a favorable impression; root definition— late Middle English— in the sense ‘preliminary design, tabulated statement’: from Latin projectum ‘something prominent’, neuter past participle of proicere ‘throw forth’, from pro- ‘forth’ + jacere ‘to throw’. Early senses of the verb were ‘plan’ and ‘cause to move forward’.
When we are ‘projecting’ self, above our holy God, his authority in our lives as our Lord— we are a self ‘god’ right then and there; and we are walking in pride, lacking humility— and only the meek (well disciplined, pressing themselves down prostrate before the Lord) will inherit the earth: Christ and his Holy Spirit— are humble and meek.

Scripture reading— blessed, jointly fit—
union and revelation of the Word of God,
In the midst of his church
_________________________________________
On— Saturday, August 26, 2023— I partook in one of the most beautiful bible study sessions— jointly fit together with other brethren, bringing what the Lord had revealed to them (via his Spirit), to us all— and was by the grace of God, IMMENSELY BLESSED— as were all who partook in this Holy Spirit led session.
One of the things I really cherished was that EVERYONE brought something to the table, given to them by God— whether a question to provoke thought and consideration, and deliberation with the others, led of the Holy Spirit— or to give forth what answer the Spirit had shown them.
It was TRULY a congregation, of gathered siblings in Christ— bringing to the table of the Lord, the provisions that were freely given them— of Christ (the Word of God).
After we all closed out our evening, and decided we will continue this study of the book of Joshua (as we only did the first 3 chapters), we reiterated, one to another— just how beautiful that night was— as God was the center point, and by his Spirit— he led us and revealed SO MUCH.
We all were TRULY GRATEFUL for what the Lord had started with us all— and we desired “MORE LORD,” yes, please, and THANK YOU!!
But….
Something else transpired following the bible study as well; I stated that I would be seeking the Lord, pertaining to if HE WILLED, that any others should partake at the table of the Lord with us, too.
You see, I really do seek to hear the Father’s will, my King’s will pertaining to all matters; and freely I received, freely I gave, and I instinctively know that many are in a famished state, from a famine of the Word of God.
I share with the Lord— his heart for the Lost; that can pertain to understanding and revelation, as well; to whom much has been given— much will be required of this man, and I DO NOT take that ‘lightly.’
I KNOW THE GRAVITY OF NOT STEWARDING WHAT WAS GIVEN ME, WELL.
For one, he may not give me more— for if I bury the talent (gift or gifting, revelation or understanding, etc) —why would he invest more in me??
So, I said— “I will be inquiring of the Lord, if there are more who could benefit from this bible study, as to whom he would like to invite.”
Mostly because I want to DO HIS WILL, but also— I remember, I recall what it’s like to not understand scripture, and feel lost in it; Holy Spirit is more than capable— but we’ve also been asked to carry our brother’s burdens, and the ‘offices’ are given— to the edifying of the church.
So, I was shocked later on, when a few people privately contacted me with many reasons why they wanted to ‘keep it all to who were there,’ only: with a hindsight, last word of— “but I want what he wants,” only after a long monologue of what they wanted first.
To not share the wealth, or insight— even though they all were IMMENSELY GRATEFUL to what Father did, as well, the Word of God himself, and through their Spirit— not realizing, if he had resisted them, they would not have received what they did.
He resists the Proud, he said.
At first— these could not see, nor hear the spirit of this world speaking to them, and then through them; we need to TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE TO CHRIST: we need to discern with the Spirit of God, that was bestowed upon us, and walk in him.
After a night to pray on it, and then discuss— and with many tears, both from myself, God, and them— the Lord prevailed within them, they repented, and saw the hypocrisy of taking from the Lord freely— but desiring not to give it back out to others, freely— and to be inviting, or hospitable with what was given, that was of great treasure.
Only the Holy Spirit of God could have done such a work, in such a short time— and with such grace, and love, toward the rest of his family; he will chasten and scourge every child he receives— and this is his love.
It was not easy— I cried a lot, they cried a lot— but God, holiness and love prevailed!
I do not look down upon this happening— because this happening is MATURATION in the Spirit of Life; the coming out of death, and into harmony with our God— it’s a process, to which we are required to submit to.
We must be conformed to HIS IMAGE AGAIN— coming out of the twisted one, the perverted one of the fallen nature; and I watched God bring enlightenment, conviction, and change— to their hearts; and in that— satisfaction to his own hurting heart, that longs for unity in the house of God.
They, and I— will be stronger in Christ, and stronger together, as family members of God’s household, beyond and through this growth experience; discernment, weighing our thoughts before speaking, will help greatly. We do not have to react, we can take time, weigh our hearts, and respond later— when we are NOT EMOTIONAL, nor pointing to SELF, and what’s best for ourselves.
Taking it all to the Lord, and giving him time to sort us out— is VERY BENEFICIAL; I have learned/learning— if I’m emotional, best to sort things with God first, before speaking: he’s calling us to be FIRST RESPONDERS, not FIRST REACTIONERS.
_________________________________________
Romans 12:2-8, 9-10, 13-14, 16-17,
“Be not conformed [fashioned alike, patterning self according] to this world: but be transformed [metamorphosed, changed and transfigured] by the renewing [renovation— restore to a good state of repair, root— made back to new again] of your mind [thought, feeling or will— the meaning and understanding] —that you may prove [test and be approved, discerned, or examined] what is that good [beneficial], and acceptable [fully agreeable and well pleasing], and perfect [complete (in various applications of labor, growth— mental and moral character) —completeness, full of age (mature)] —will [determination, active choice, purpose of decree, volition and inclination, desire and pleasure] of God [the supreme Divinity, magistrate].
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you— not to think [exercising of mind— that is entertain or have opinion, mentally disposed in a certain direction— interesting oneself in with concern or obedience to, setting one’s affections on— regarding and savoring that opinion and mental disposition] more highly [esteeming oneself overmuch, being vain or arrogant] than he ought to think; but to think [exercising of mind— that is entertain or have opinion, mentally disposed in a certain direction— interesting oneself in with concern or obedience to, setting one’s affections on— regarding and savoring that opinion and mental disposition] soberly [sanely— of a sound mind, moderate— reduced or controlled, in right mind]...
…according as God has dealt [apportioned, bestowed, shared or given to differ, distributing] to every man [each and every] —the measure [portion and degree] of faith [persuasion, credence— believing, moral conviction of truth or truthfulness of God, or a religious teacher; reliance upon Christ for salvation— constancy in that profession— truth itself, and fidelity].
For as we have many members in one body [sound whole], and all members do not have the same office [function]: So we, being many, are one body [sound whole] in Christ —and every one, members one of another [together, mutual].
9-10
Let love be without dissimulation [concealment of one's thoughts, feelings, or character— pretense, opposite— be in sincerity].
Abhor [utterly detest] that which is evil [hurtful, degenerate in character or virtue— calamitous, ill, diseased, morally culpable, viciously facinorous— , mischievous with malice, guilty, devilish of sin— sinners, grievous, lewd, wicked]; cleave [glue, stick, join, keep company] to that which is good [beneficial, good and well].
Be kindly affectioned [cherishing one’s kindred, fond of relatives] one to another [together, mutual] with brotherly love [fraternal affection]; in honor [value, esteem, give highest dignity to as precious] preferring [lead the way for another, show deference— submitting humbly] one to another.
13-14
Distributing [sharing with others— communicate, distribute, partake] to the necessity [destitution— extreme lack] of saints [sacred, pure, morally blameless, ceremonially consecrated ones]; given to hospitality [entertaining, welcoming strangers, and lovers of strangers].
Bless [speak well of, invoke benediction— state of being blessed upon] them who persecute [pursue, follow after, press toward] you: bless [speak well of, invoke benediction— state of being blessed upon], and curse not [doom, or execrate— express loathing for].
16-17
Be of the same mind [exercising of mind— that is entertain or have opinion, mentally disposed in a certain direction— interesting oneself in with concern or obedience to, setting one’s affections on— regarding and savoring that opinion and mental disposition] one toward another [together/mutual].
Mind not [do not exercise mind— that is entertain or have opinion, mentally disposed in a certain direction— interesting oneself in with concern or obedience to, setting one’s affections on— regarding and savoring that opinion and mental disposition] on high things [lofty in character] —but [contrariwise] condescend to [yield] to men of low estate [depressed— pressed or pushed down, humiliated in circumstance or disposition— humble, cast down, lowly].
Be [to cause to become] not wise [of mental intelligence, in a bad sense— conceit] in your own conceits [own selves].
Recompense [give back or render] to no man —evil [worthlessness, depravity or injury] for evil.
Provide [consider in advance, look beforehand and maintain for others, circumspection for oneself— wary, prudent, be cautious of oneself] things honest [virtuous] —in the sight [face of and presence] of all men.”
21
Be not overcome [subdued or conquered] of evil [worthlessness, depravity or injury] — but overcome [subdued or conquered] evil [worthlessness, depravity or injury]—with good [benefit, or benevolence— quality of being kind, and well meaning].
_____________
Interestingly, conceit’s root definition is this—
late Middle English (in the sense ‘notion’, also ‘quaintly decorative article’): from conceive, on the pattern of pairs such as deceive, deceit .
Origin— late Middle English from conceive, on the pattern of pairs such as— deceive + deceit .
Conceive— become pregnant with, devise in the mind, mental representation and image; (he said— throw down wicked imaginations.)
Deceive— believe something that is not true, in order to gain some PERSONAL ADVANTAGE, unfaithful; root definition— Middle English: from Old French deceivre, from Latin decipere ‘catch, ensnare, cheat’.
Deceit— the action or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth, root— deceive.
___________
So, to walk in conceit, or conceited = believe something that is not true, in order to gain some PERSONAL ADVANTAGE, being unfaithful (to another— Christ first, and the brethren second), catching and ensnaring and cheating them…
By concealing or misrepresenting the truth (what did scripture say is true, and that of the character of Christ)...
becoming pregnant with, devising in the mind— of mental representation and image— untruth, anti biblical, anti Christ mind (an unrenewed mind): this is to walk conceitedly.
2 Corinthians 10:5-6
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge —all disobedience— when your obedience is fulfilled.”

Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction [ruin, loss or waste]— and many there be who go in there: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way [road and progressing route], which leads unto life— and few there be that find it [obtain it, or perceive it].”
Matthew 11:29
“Take my yoke [coupling— enjoined, servitude of law and obligation, beam of the balance (connecting scales) pair of balances] upon you, and learn [understand] of me; for I am meek [gentle and humble], and lowly [humble, pushed down (not exalted within)] among you— but being absent [away from you] in heart [thoughts, feelings, mind]: and you shall find rest unto your souls.”

“Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you— O house of Israel. Thus says the Lord: Do not learn the way [road and progressing route] of the heathen [gentile, other nations].”

The Story of Moses’ disobedience
Unto the Lord
_________________________________
Numbers 20:6-12, 23-29
“And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them.
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying —Take the rod, and gather the assembly together, you, and Aaron your brother— and speak unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and you shall bring forth to them —water out of the rock: so you shall give the congregation and their beasts drink.
And Moses took the rod from before the Lord, as he commanded him.
And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them— Hear now, you rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?
{A bit of a carnal reaction, yes? God did not call them rebels, nor infer it was laborious to long suffer them.}
And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod— he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.
And the Lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron— Because you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel— therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
{Everyone suffered— because of the man of God’s spirit, attitude, disobedience and irreverence toward God’s commandment.}
23-29
And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying— Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.
{Through disobedience, one, who was once called, chosen, anointed, mantled, gifted and favored— has now fallen— and God will choose another, in an effort to exalt one who will obey the Lord God.}
And Moses did as the Lord commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there on the top of the mount: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.
And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead— they mourned for Aaron thirty days— all the House of Israel.”
___________
Every Israelite over twenty years of age —when they left Egypt under Moses' leadership— was now dead, except for three people: Moses, Joshua, and Caleb.
___________
Deuteronomy 34:1-5
“And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the Lord showed him all the land of Gilead— unto Dan, and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah— unto the utmost sea, and the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
And the Lord said unto him— This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying— I will give it unto your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes— but you shall not go over thither.
So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab— according to the word of the Lord.”
Joshua 1:1-4
“Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying— Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you, and all this people— unto the land which I do give to them, the children of Israel.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you— as I said unto Moses.
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.”
_______________
Moses did not make into the land promised to his forefathers, of the Lord— simply because he had a face to face, heart to heart relationship with the Lord, and disrespected him, as he disobeyed him— when given direct orders.
We are given direct orders through God’s commandments— BE this, do not BE that— walk this way, do not walk that way— and on and on strewn throughout the entirety of the Word of God (for they are his inspired words); and yet, I watch his church— those called to be set apart from operating in worldly ways, as they hail from a kingdom not of this world, led by a King not of this world— dishonor, disrespect and disobey him, and his commandments of conduct given in his holy Word, by God himself— and discern this not.
How can this be,
when we are to be led of his Spirit?
as those led by his Spirit— are his children.
(Romans 8:14)
How have we become so seared in our minds and hearts, so acquainted with the world and its operating systems —that we have lost spiritual sight to what we ‘ARE.’
Be- lieve, Be honest, Be true, Be is an action; Be— is a command.
Be— exist, occur, take place, occupy a position— remain in the same place or position, having the state, quality, identity, nature, role, etc., specified— represent, signify, consist or constitute, covered with— expressing action; root definition—
Old English bēon, an irregular and defective verb, whose full conjugation derives from several originally distinct verbs— The forms am and is —are from an Indo-European root shared by Latin sum and est.
The forms was and were —are from an Indo-European root meaning ‘remain’.
The forms be and been are from an Indo-European root shared by Latin fui ‘I was’, fio ‘I become’, and Greek phuein ‘bring forth, cause to grow’.
Moses did not obey God— and was out, or left behind; and yet he was called, chosen, anointed, used, experienced God— as he revealed himself to him.
Just because we are called and chosen, anointed and mantled, gifted and favored— does not mean we cannot fail God, miss out, be reproved and chastened— because of disobedience.
It is disobedience in the garden that led to all of our loss of God— in the first place.
We who also have the Holy Spirit— must be submissive to him, and led of him; for God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey, for the purpose of bringing us into all truth: that includes our thoughts, opinions, perceptions and will of God.
If we will ‘do our own thing,’ after being given the Holy Spirit— we are disrespecting, dishonoring the gift of God given us (himself in Spirit form), and we are remaining with, and under— another ‘spirit,’ and its leading: self gods.
This— is what Moses was guilty of, not to mention— actions of power and FORCE, when God said to speak life to the rock.
Who is the Rock?
And whom did Moses really strike?
Was he striking the will of God?
Was he striking the relationship, in his disobedience?
Was he striking the Spirit, by his carnal nature, and desire to do things his way?
Was he striking holiness with evil?
For evil is— hurtful, degenerate in character or virtue— calamitous, ill, diseased, morally culpable, viciously facinorous— , mischievous with malice, guilty, devilish of sin— sinners, grievous, lewd, wicked.
And holiness is— sanctity, meaning— saintly, consecrated, sacred, hallowed; as well as— piety, the gospel scheme itself (schema— represented outline, plan or model— root definition, form and figure, or schematics— diagram), godliness.
Moses was called, chosen, protected, anointed, mantled, gifted, intimate with God, heard from God— face to face, heart to heart— and yet— through disobedience, was left behind— not to partake in the promises.
Ouch.
I pray we understand just how important OBEDIENCE and SUBMISSION is to God— for it’s the reason for the ‘fall’ of mankind, in the first place; and the reason God gave us not only a savior, but a LORD over us: we have need of counsel, guidance and leadership.
Left to ourselves— we fall short of his glory, over, and over, and over again; whereas his dream and goal is— harmony, unity, oneness, married together in Spirit, as one with him: without obedience and submission, through reverence to him, making him Most Highly regarded one inside us— it is not possible in our souls.
And satan, as well as God— comes after the souls of men; we’re either in unity with one or the other.

John 14:15-17
“If ye love me— keep my commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter [intercessor, consoler, advocate], that he may abide with you forever— Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees [discerns, or experiences, or acknowledges— beholding] him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in [positioned in state and time, instrumentally constructed, resting in] you.”
G5083 — Keep
Greek: τηρέω
Transliteration: tēreō
Pronunciation: tay-reh'-o
Definition: From τηρός teros (a watch; perhaps akin to G2334); to guard (from loss or injury —properly by —keeping the eye upon) that is to note (a prophecy; figuratively —to fulfill a command); by implication to detain (in custody; figuratively to maintain): hold fast, keep (-er) (ob- pre- re) serve, watch.
1 John 5:2-4
“By this we know that we love the children of God— when we love God— and keep [watch, guard, keep an eye on, note, fulfill his command, detain and maintain, hold fast, observe, and serve] his commandments.
For this is the love [affectionate benevolence and love feast] of God— that we keep his commandments: and (that) his commandments [injunctions and authoritative prescriptions, and precepts] are not grievous (to us) [weighty, burdensome].
For whatsoever [all manner, whatever] is born [procreated, and regenerated, and begotten] of God [the supreme Divinity, magistrate]— overcomes [subdues, and conquers, prevails over and gets the victory over] the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith [persuasion of moral conviction, truth or truthfulness, reliance on Christ— and constancy of that profession, truth itself, fidelity].”

When we are children of the Lord God holy— we will be the children led of his Spirit— as scripture states; those led of self, or exalting self opinion and reasoning above the Holy Spirit of God— are people who heed evil spirits, and their counsel.
Those evil spirits will always encourage us to lead and reason for self; this was the gift given us— of the original satan, to which all satans follow.
You can be given, like Moses— opportunity to commune with God face to face, be anointed, called, chosen, mantled, gifted and put in authority in the earth— and fall from that position, calling, and grace— when one chooses to exalt “self” above God.
The biggest evil spirit you will ever face— is your fallen carnal nature, gifted you of satan; it is why the carnal nature, with its reasonings and counsels, enforced by fallen spirits (dead ones, as like we were given, when we fell) —and why it must be CRUCIFIED (slayed, killed, made dead), and why we must DIE.
Christ has fulfilled his mission here in his body, and now desires another body (all of us in the church, set apart unto him), and we must DIE INSIDE (of self)— to LIVE UNTO CHRIST; we must SLAY/KILL/CRUCIFY the dead spirit given us of satan, and stand, live, abide and find our being— in the NEW SPIRIT given to us, in Christ Jesus: but the choice is yours.
Satan will continue to lead us, if that’s what we desire; if we desire to exalt our own reasonings and our own opinions of those reasonings— inside.
It’s when we will DIE IN EVERY WAY NEEDED, killing self leadership, desires and reasonings— that we will finally, LIVE UNTO CHRIST; otherwise, we still live unto what we— want, think, reason, need, focus on, deliberate about, exalt and favor.
Only we, ourselves— can defeat the real enemy in our lives, with Christ: the fallen nature, of a dead spirit, that leads itself after satan— death, being —estrangement (disagreement and separated) from God.
Unity, meekness, oneness, enjoined, covenanted, harmonious, married and yoked to God, reconciled— all mean one thing: a mutual change, that made a difference took place, and these 2, became 1— as/like same, in mind, heart and spirit.
Without this— you do not become meek ones— disciplined ones under the lead of our Father God himself, via the Holy Spirit given to us, with Christ’s accomplishment of Calvary; the dream of God fulfilled— that now, all the other sons, can come and reunite with him, coming into harmony with his Spirit again— and be one, as they are one.
If we do not SUBMIT, and sincerely— in our hearts— we remain entrenched in, ensnared in— the fallen nature, in a dead spirit state, not quickened by the Holy Spirit— and we received salvation given us, by the grace of God— but we remained not in Christ: that’s a requirement.
When you met with him, and received his free gift (himself), then what?
When you were introduced again, following your first encounter with the truth, what did you walk out in relationship— henceforth?
What is your faith— for real?
Because those who walk not after the flesh anymore, but after the Spirit, and those who remain in Christ— are saved, and his children.
_________
Romans 8:1
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
John (chapter) 15
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that bears not fruit —he takes away (this means, it was once there— if its removed): and every branch that bears fruit —he purges it (that means, every branch that remains in him, united to him— he will cut away at, to produce more of him, in that person— fruits of his Spirit), that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now you are clean— through the word— which I have spoken unto you.
Abide [stay, remain, stand, endure, tarry and continue] in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself— except (or only if) it abides in the vine; no more can you, except you abide [remain] in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches: He who abides in me, and I in him— the same brings forth much fruit: for without me —you can do nothing.
If a man abides not in me— he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will— and it shall be done to you.
Herein is my Father glorified— that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples [learners, pupils].
As the Father has loved me— so have I loved you: continue in my love.
If you keep [watch, guard, keep an eye on, note, fulfill his command, detain and maintain, hold fast, observe, and serve] my commandments— you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is my commandment— That you love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love has no man than this— that a man lay down [lay aside, kneel down, and purpose] his life —for his friends [dear and fond ones, associates, and neighbors].
You are my friends [dear and fond ones, associates, and neighbors] —if you do whatsoever [all, emphatically— without doubt] I command [enjoin, giving charge of] you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father —I have made known unto you.
You have not chosen me— but I have chosen you— and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit; and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name— he may give it to you.
These things I command you— that you love one another [together, mutual].
If the world hates you— you know that it hated me, before it hated you.
If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world— but I have chosen you out of the world— therefore the world hates you.
{He said— side note, if you go to a worldly person, and you speak your mind— and he agrees, as/like he would conduct himself… likely, you are of a world mindset and opinion; for the world and worldly people— think as the world reasons.}
Remember the word that I said unto you— The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying— they will keep yours also.
{Second note— If we are his, we are exalting our opinions and reasonings above his— for the servant (or one in servitude to God) is not greater, or exalted higher— than he.}
But all these things will they do unto you —for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
If I had not come and spoken unto them— they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin (no excuse, he came and detailed it all out— what is sin).
He who hates me [detests and persecutes, being loveless] —hates my Father also.
If I had not done among them the works which no other man did— they (would have) had not had sin: but now they have both seen, and hated— both me and my Father.
But this comes to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law— They hated me without a cause.
But when the Comforter is come— whom I will send unto you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father— he shall testify [give witness, bear record of a good and honest report] of me:
And you also shall bear witness— because you have been with me from the beginning.”
______________
The Holy Spirit of Truth, was given to those who will obey God, and for the purpose of bringing us into all truth; both he, and we— have a refinement work to undergo.
I do not mince or retract anything from scripture— what he says, he means; we must remain in Christ, abiding in him, reliant in him, submissive in him, reverent in him, and obedient in him— in sincerity.
He has one kind of child— obedient and reverent of him— coming full circle from the fall in the garden, to returning like the prodigals we are, and uniting to him again— SEEKING HIS COUNSEL and LEAD.
He knew what we needed, and it was the first thing we lost: HIM as our God, Father, Leader and High One over us: LORD.
Is he the Most High one regarded within you?
Are you checking to see?
Are you weighing your thoughts, and throwing down self leadership?
Are you exalting him, his counsels, mind/thoughts, and command inside of you?
If we are to throw down anything that sets itself against the knowledge of God inside our minds— and we are supposed to now have on the mind of Christ, because we are within his being, and he head over us— are we?
He said…
2 Corinthians 10:5-6
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
And having, in a readiness to revenge, disobedience— when your obedience is fulfilled.”
________
Your obedience is fulfilled, when you are LOOKING AT EVERY THOUGHT, weighing them according to the standard (Christ), and the Holy Spirit of God— and are bringing them into capture, casting them down and out of your vessel— because they have found themselves EXALTED WITHIN YOU.
In that— you walk in a readiness to revenge, or annihilate all disobedience toward God (the fall of the first Adam), and now in this walk, casting all wicked imaginings down (thoughts contrary to God) —you are now obedient to God, and your obedience is fulfilled.
This— I see as a great need within the body of Christ; his body is sick, and it is sick within— because it obeys him not, submits to him not, and walks yet in rebellion: namely— not even knowing the scriptures.
We must KNOW THE WORD OF GOD, he is a person, and he has gifted us knowledge of his person, conduct, reasonings, patterns and ways— in the holy Book, the written, inspired to men, words and precepts of God holy; he gave himself to us (his blueprint, his outline) by giving us the Word of God, the Bible— we ought to respect him, and STUDY IT, TO SHOW OURSELVES APPROVED.
________
2 Timothy 2:15
“Study [use speed, be prompt— making efforts, earnestly, being diligent, endeavoring] to show [exhibit] yourself approved [acceptable, after assayal— testing to determine ingredients or quality, determine content or quality, examine— to assess the nature] unto God— a workman [toiler and teacher] that needs not to be ashamed [irreprehensible— blameless beyond reproach] —rightly dividing [dissecting and expounding correctly the divine message] the word [something said— including the thought, topic, reasoning, mental faculty or motive, computation, account, communication, discourse, doctrine, and utterance] of truth [that of verity— true principle— chain or reasoning, or belief].”
________
Assay, root definition— Middle English, in the general sense ‘testing, or a test of, the merit of someone or something’: from Old French assai (noun), assaier (verb), variant of essai ‘trial’, essayer ‘to try’ (see essay).
Essay— an attempt or effort; root definition— late 15th century as a verb in the sense ‘test the quality of’: alteration of assay, by association with Old French essayer, based on late Latin exagium ‘weighing’, from the base of exigere ‘ascertain, weigh’; the noun (late 16th century) is from Old French essai ‘trial’.
To study something in the dictionary, is— the devotion of time and attention to acquiring knowledge on an academic subject— especially by means of books, a detailed investigation and analysis of a subject, a thing or person that is an embodiment or good example of something, apply oneself, learn intensively about something, especially in preparation for a test of knowledge, give serious thought or consideration to, look at closely— in order to observe (see God??)
Root definition— Middle English: shortening of Old French estudie (noun), estudier (verb), both based on Latin studium ‘zeal, painstaking application’.
Do we have a painstaking zeal, dedication and application to search out God (his inspired Word)??
Because when we don’t— we prove we are unrefined by the Refiner, undisciplined by his Spirit— and remain in error.
My goal with him today— is to bring light to this, enlightenment, revelation— of these truths.
For the 1st and the 2nd commandments
(in summation of the Law)
rely upon these precepts of God.
_________
Matthew 22:36-40
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him— Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with ALL YOUR HEART, and with ALL YOUR SOUL, and with ALL YOUR MIND.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it— Thou shalt love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
_________
Precepts— a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought; root definition— late Middle English: from Latin praeceptum, neuter past participle of praecipere ‘warn, instruct’, from prae ‘before’ + capere ‘take’.
H6673 — Precept
Hebrew: צו צו
Transliteration: tsav tsâv
Pronunciation: {tsav} tsawv
Definition: From H6680; an injunction —authoritative warning or order: commandment.
Injunction’s root definition— late Middle English: from late Latin injunctio(n- ), from Latin injungere ‘enjoin, impose’.
_______________
Mark 7:7
“Howbeit in vain —do they worship me— teaching for doctrine, the commandments [precepts and injunctions] of men.”
Commandments, here— is also ‘precepts,’ and ‘injunctions’ of men— not God.
We must be careful, or mindful— if we are entertaining our own (man’s) precepts/commandments— or God’s.
_______________
We cannot truly love God— if we are walking ‘as’ God, inside. It is imperative we relinquish that throne to him once again— as we kicked him out in the garden— when we decided we wanted to reign there (reason, think and decide) for ourselves: we, as ‘gods.’
His commands start with loving him, placing him above all others (including, and especially SELF), and that means giving him full reign of our SOULS: heart and mind.
And then— love the others in the same manner; which means— prefer them as the most highly regarded one inside your heart, mind and soul; give them preference (over yourself) and defer to them.
Are we even doing the summation of the Law
in the first two commandments of
the New Life in Christ??
I often tell him—
“We don’t even see that we are doing these amiss sir, let alone the rest of the Law you didn’t detail out— as 1 and 2, are the beginning of a sequence; there are more you did not detail out to us.
I believe this is because DOING THOSE TWO— will take all we have got in us, as we, over our lifetimes— learn to submit to your leadership, sincerely, within us.”
If we love him— we will obey him; we will keep his commandments, and they will not be grievous to us.
He is the gift given back to us to unite to; I pray we do, sincerely, inside— and make him the Most Highly regarded one: our LORD God.
“Obedience— is better than sacrifice.”
1 Sam. 15:22
But one will sacrifice— when obedient.
