Scripture references and points of interest
_____________________________________________
Exodus 25:9
“According to all that I show you—
after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof— even so you shall make it.”
__________________________
Instruments are mentioned in the tabernacle of the old covenant shadow and type, pertaining to the physical manifestation of a place used and inhabited of God.
INSTRUMENTS, as defined by Strong’s— something prepared, that is— any apparatus as an implement, utensil, dressing, vessel or weapon— armor-bearer, artillery bag or carriage, furnishings, jewels— that are made one of another in mixing of— like a pot, psaltery— musical instrument, tool.
____________________________
CURTAINS are mentioned in chapter 26 of Exodus, in the tabernacle; and curtains are dividing veils of privacy— typically ‘of a pair,’ at the beginning of an act on a stage
[reminded me of the books of ACTS (actions) and the stage of life— separated and doing it with God behind the curtain], to conceal a thing; root definition— A COURT.
[coupling of curtains in Exodus 26:9—
“...and you shall couple them…”]
H2266 — Coupling (regarding the curtains)
Definition: TO JOIN, TO FASCIN-ATE (fasten stuck out to me in this), CHARM, COUPLE-TOGETHER, FELLOWSHIP, HEAP UPON, IN LEAGUE WITH.
___________________________
Exodus 26:12
“And the remnant that remains of
the curtains of the tent…”
____________________________
This verse goes on to describe the physical tabernacle in the old testament, the literal tent— but I found this phrase invoking a spiritual/figurative meaning; it is only the remnant that really ‘finds that narrow way,’ and worships God truly, in the temple.
And the temple holds a coupling of the separation (curtains).
_________________________
Exodus 26:15
“And you shall make boards for the tabernacle…”
_________________________
H7175 – Boards
Definition: TO SPLIT OFF (separate), by implication— A DECK OF A SHIP (relationship).
Definition DECK— a foundation at the HIGHEST LEVEL of a ‘ship,’ often used for sun (Son) bathing; root definition: a covering, roof, cloak— to cover.
_________________________
Exodus 26:35
“And you shall set the table (Strong’s— a meal),
outside the veil…”
_______________________
Reminds me of how we are eating off the Lord’s table at all times, or we are taking counsel from the enemy; within God’s tabernacle— as a holy priest we are adhering to only him— as we eat the meal the Lord is preparing for us.
_________________________
A COURT is mentioned within the tabernacle— this is defined as the courtyard— which reminds me of the area where we begin ‘courting’ the Lord— before entering the holiest of holy places, where we remain in intimate UNION, beyond courtship alone.
________________________
SERVICE— is mentioned pertaining to the tabernacle experience, and it is defined in Strong’s as: work, labor, bondservant effectual ministering, office service, and tillage.
_________________________
Exodus 27:19
“And all the ‘vessels’ of the tabernacle,
in all the service thereof…”
_________________________
We are his vessels he indwells, in servitude to him— effectual ministers → bondservants, tilling away at relationship with God.
_________________________
In Exodus 27:21— the general assembly of the ‘congregation,’ is WITHOUT the veil, outside of the ‘courtship’ area, and definitely outside the innermost holy of holies area— BEYOND the veil— beyond the separations of intimacy.
We must go from ‘without,’ in the congregation or large group called ‘Christ’s people—’ and begin to COURT GOD → in the inner court; then— we must make that glorious court-ship— CONSECRATED as HOLY and PRECIOUS → above and beyond all other pursuits or relationships.
And as we do— we begin to ‘abide with’ him in CONSTANT UNION, together as ONE— in the holiest, closest intimate relations: the holy of holies— the innermost sanctum of God and man’s temple.
__________________________
There is a DOOR mentioned, within the tabernacle, where the priest crosses the veil— the door in Strong’s is defined as: the WAY, and the OPENING.
Yahshua is the way, the door, and the opening.
We do not get into the holiest innermost courtroom of God and man’s union— any other way than by making THE SON— and FOLLOWING HIM in his Melchizedek ways— as our most important focus, in our reformation process into his image and conduct— as he exemplified the holy Father himself.
__________________________
There is always a sacrifice of ‘flesh’ required in the sanctuary, the temple and tabernacle; we will find no other way into intimacy with God holy either.
We will be required to throw down the carnal lifestyle and living— and be reformed: this is our priestly duty.
A ‘continual burnt offering,’ it says— and that in Strong’s is defined as: stepping collectively up stairs, ascending, a holocaust (a going up in smoke) → a sacrifice.
[Exodus 29:42]
_________________________
Exodus 29:43
“And there I will meet with the children of Israel,’
and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.”
[sanctified— hallowed, holy, consecrated, purified, PREPARED— ceremoniously and morally]
_________________________
ATONEMENT is mentioned as taking place in the tabernacle experience with God— and that is regaining ‘at-one’ again, with God: the joining, the coupling.
___________________________
There is an ALTAR in the temple and tabernacle experience— and that is where we ‘lay it all down.’
WASHING and BURNING (refining down, thoroughly processed) takes place within the tabernacle experience.
And ANOINTING— consecration oil— takes place in the tabernacle.
TESTIMONY— witnessing legally— takes place in the tabernacle.
MERCY (seat of) takes place in the tabernacle experience, and is the LID or the COVERING OVER it all— the union.
A BEATING takes place in the tabernacle— which means trituration, attrition or comminute in Strong’s— which means: to REDUCE or REFINE.
We have access to speak ‘face to face’ with God here, as demonstrated by Moses.
INCENSE is in the tabernacle, which is fumigation in Strong’s, and symbolizes the prayer communion that takes place between that man and God.
WORSHIP takes place there, which in Strong’s is: to PROSTRATE, give HOMAGE TO ROYALTY and OF GOD, BOW DOWN, CROUCH, FALL DOWN HUMBLY, BESEECH, give OBEISANCE, REVERENCE, and STOOP.
And a cloudy pillar of his presence comes.
CORDS are mentioned, which bind and pull together; and a 3 strand cord is not easily broken:
Here = man + tabernacle + God.
HEARTS are stirred up in the tabernacle experience.
BARS are a part of the tabernacle— which in Strong’s means— fugitive; we are fugitives unto the Lord— coming out of the world. (H1280)
LAVERS are mentioned as being in the tabernacle, and according to Strong’s they mean— A WASHBOWL, PULPIT or PLATFORM. (H3595)
SOCKETS are mentioned— they are the BASIS of STRENGTH BUILDING OF THE FOUNDATION— as mentioned in Strong’s.
Dictionary definition: a hollow in which something FITS; root definition— head of a spear, resembling a PLOWSHARE.
GOLDEN ALTAR— in Strong’s is defined as— CLEAR SKY, FAIR WEATHER; altar, where we lay it all down— receiving the clear skies and fair weather.
The tabernacle is ‘reared up,’ which means ESTABLISHED; we must co-labor with God to achieve this in the physical realm.
The ARK (spelling in context of Exodus 40) of the tabernacle must be ‘carried by men;’ and when it is not— terrible things happen.
___________________________
Exodus 40:38
“The cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel— throughout all their journeys.”
___________________________
It is the same for us now— we are journeying at life here with God, reconnecting to him in Spirit, and with Truth— and in so, we are enveloped when doing this properly— by the very presence of the Lord himself— leading us in all our ways; and all can see— as we abide without ceasing— and become LIVING LOVE LETTERS, written by God himself, in the flesh and souls of men.
__________________________
As defined by Job— the tabernacle abides with peace, visitation and habitation. (Job 5:24)
And the SECRET OF GOD resides in the tabernacle, and his CANDLE SHINES UPON OUR HEADS— as Job details. (Job 29:3 & 4)
David defines the tabernacle as THE HOLY HILL, the tabernacle of SHILOH, SALEM and ZION; Shiloh, in Hebrew means— GOD’S GIFT and PEACEFUL ONE— and Salem, as well means— PEACEFUL.
And Zion (Tsiyon) means— holy place— kingdom of heaven.
______________________________
God’s tabernacle— is for the UPRIGHT.
(Proverbs 14:11)
_______________________________
Acts 15:16-17
“After this I will return— and will build again the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof— and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord— and all the Gentiles upon whom my name is called— saith the Lord, who does all these things.”
________________________
2 Corinthians 5:1-4
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved— we have a building of God— a house not made with hands— eternal —in the heavens.
2 And for in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon— with— our house which is from heaven:
3 If so it be— that being clothed (in his righteousness)—
we shall not be found naked.
4 For we— who are in this tabernacle— do groan— being burdened: not that we would be unclothed— but clothed upon— that mortality might be swallowed up → by LIFE.”
_________________________
Hebrews 9:21
“Moreover he sprinkled with blood— both the tabernacle, and— all the vessels of the ministry.”
______________________________
Now WE are ‘all the vessels’ within the ministry; sprinkled upon the altars of our hearts— his blood, at-one-ment again.
_______________________________
Hebrews 13:10
“We have an altar— whereof—
they have
NO RIGHT TO EAT—
(of we) who serve the tabernacle.
_______________________________
Revelation 21:3
“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying— Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men— and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people— and God himself shall be with them → and be their God.”
