*The danger of enticing knowledge: and the simplicity of Christ Jesus and his EXEMPLIFIED relationship with the Father.

Definition of knowledge:  facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject, awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation: root definition— Middle English (originally as a verb in the sense ‘acknowledge, recognize’, later as a noun): from an Old English compound based on cnāwan (see know).

G1922 – Knowledge

Greek: ἐπίγνωσις

Transliteration: epignōsis

Pronunciation: ip-ig'-no-sis

Definition: From G1921; recognition— that is, full discernment acknowledgement.

G225 – Verity

Greek: ἀλήθεια

Transliteration: alētheia

Pronunciation: al-ay'-thi-a

Definition: From G227; truth.

Definition Verity:  late Middle English: from Old French verite, from Latin veritas, from verus ‘true.’

John 14:6

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".

Revelation 19:11

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True…”

_______

We are called to have knowledge of God, his person:

2 Peter 3:18 – “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.”

_______

*It’s always been about a person, Jesus; and he is the real reality— the truth, and he is one who is faithful and true:  when we lose sight of verity (Christ Jesus, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit shed abroad to us all to bring us into the knowledge of him, the truth, by the Spirit of Truth) —then we fall into idolatry, which is anything OTHER THAN life with God resumed in the garden again.  We fall into exaltation within, of ANYTHING other than God: and the temptation in the garden originally was to fall into knowledge and experience with that knowledge…. Just not with God, or led of God, no more coupling with God, under God, revering God.

I cringe when I hear people bring forth teaching, or preaching, or knowledge, or wisdom— but never, or hardly EVER bring the name of God, with reverence to, into the proclamations (videos, or posts, or sermons).

The temptation has always been this— walk in knowledge, and wisdom (there are two kinds of both of these, and understanding, and counsel, and all the rest):  one, of God, and another— of fallenness, or self lead, and self focus.

*If we think we will not be tested in, and allowed to walk in whatever our hearts desire— we are foolish:  lessons of the life of Solomon, for one, ought to frighten us.

Each day— what is our goal, intentions, and motives – for what we are heading toward in our desire?  Because we are all moving toward the desires of our hearts, in every moment, of every day, in all situations, in everything we do:  is it God and God alone, is it his person and intimacy with him?  Or— have we lost sight of his face again, in the garden, and we are heading toward all we can take in (eat), that looks good to us (the lust of the eyes), that is really leading us away from the face of God himself, as the most important?

________

Psalm 51:5-7

“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.  Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

________

1 Kings 4:29

“And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.”

1 Kings 4:30

“And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.”

1 Kings 4:34

“And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.”

2 Chronicles 1:11-12

“And God said to Solomon— Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of your enemies, neither yet have asked for long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:  Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto you; and I will give you riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before you, neither shall there be any after you, who will have the likes.”

Proverbs 1:2

“To know wisdom and instruction….”

{keeping his face}

Proverbs 2:6

“For the Lord gives wisdom…”

Proverbs 15:33

“The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom…”

_______

1 Kings 11:1-13

“But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:  Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel— You shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.

Solomon went after Ashtoreth— the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

And Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord— and went not fully after the Lord – as did David his father.

Then did Solomon build a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.  And likewise did he for all his strange wives, who burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the Lord commanded.

Wherefore the Lord said unto Solomon— Forasmuch as this is done of you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely rend the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

Notwithstanding in your days I will not do it for David your father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of your son.

Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.”

_______

Solomon was given/gifted wisdom by the Lord, as well as riches, and more— such as no other man, nor would be thereafter, the scripture states; and yet— he exalted wisdom itself, and yet fell away from reverence to the face of God, and relationship with God, obeying God, and being led of God; and his latter state was worse than his former.  He gained much in ‘things,’ and in the gain of things like wisdom (which began with the fear of the Lord), he began to exalt the knowledge, the wisdom, the exaltation of the mind and all it can know and hold, and walk in— but simultaneously was drawn away in all that was given, from the face of God:  and Solomon fell into LUST, and IDOLATRY.

I believe this is a SERIOUS lesson we all need to learn from Solomon:  given much, we will be tested in much, as the whether the ‘much’ will be exalted above God in our lives; and LUST in the earth will seduce us away every time.

What we can walk in— will be a temptation to overcome, if it leads us away from partnership, reverence, and obeying the headship of God, to do it.

“All that glitters is not Gold,” he just said.

Gold comes in the Refiner’s fire, that’s where we walk up and down inside of Christ, commune with him there, and seek his face, and swim through him in his knowledge (awares of God himself, and all he knows), and his wisdom (how to put knowledge into action, guided by his counsel, and with his understanding— not earthly), with him— guided by him and his presence at all times:  if not….

We run the risk of playing in the realm of knowledge, the second heavens area of a mixed pot of all kinds of trees (connections of consciousness and knowledge, understanding, and counsels that are ‘other than’ God himself):  trees are systems one can live in, with roots in the earth (us, material vessels), and unless we engage knowledge, wisdom, counsel, understanding— IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD, and IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD (reverence, seeking his face, giving all glory to him)...

We will run the risk of being enticed into the knowledge, wisdom (how to put it all together into action), with the counsel of ‘another,’ gaining their understanding of the spirit realm, the things one can learn there, and walk in there— all without God:  this can happen in the church, and rivals the new age ways which go into the realm of the spirit, play there, but not by the lead of the Holy Spirit— and they go to gain what they can unto themselves there.

You will hear more about the created (man) and what he can do, be, walk in, manifest, come into, work and wield— than you will hear or see what Jesus exemplified:  reverence to the Father, led of him, and giving all attention, affection, and direction (deferring all) to HIM.

He walked as a son in the earth, who is following his Father:  there is a danger in the garden of man, still yet, to go about without the lead and headship of the Father; and I am only here to draw our attention to these facts, and encourage all to really LISTEN and DISCERN:  what is being promoted, who is being promoted (the focus on), and who is either gloating, or humble:  essentially— is the Holy Spirit speaking through a vessel, and can it be anchored to the plumbline of the scripture, and the example Christ Jesus exemplified to all?

Or is it a man’s soul speaking, and taking the glory, directing all attention and affections to man/the created once again:  glorying in his beauty (that God bestowed of his own, in and upon him)?

I am not only irritated when I see man walking exalted within, and teaching it to others, by never revering God, keeping the focus on God, nor helping others to always point to God— I am REVOLTED by it: for it hails from another spirit, namely the fallen soul of man.

As of recently the Lord has been VERY SERIOUS in his speech to me, saying….

“Janet, I will hold you personally responsible for what you say and do in your body in the earth.”

Now, when he spoke this to me in my inner man— I HIT THE DECK IN REVERENCE.  I fell on my face before him, understanding the gravity, the gravitas of his presence:  if we have not encountered the King in this earth (ourselves in the material and soul of man), well, let me just say— HE IS FIERCE, even in his love and presence:  he has eyes of fire in pure power and holiness, and it exudes from him causing man to hit the deck before him.

I laid prostrate before him, begging him to let me stay face down, because I FELT how short I was in glory compared to the fuller measure of himself that he was blessing me with, in his presence in that moment:  it frightens me when I hear man so confident in himself before the Lord; now it actually has me call into question before the Lord if this vessels has been crushed, humbled, and refined yet in the earth (vessel).

Because when you come before him, literally, before you speak a word, before you supplicate and pray, before you address another human, before you type, post, record, or go live….

YOU WILL HIT THE DECK INSIDE— if you are giving reverence to his face, and have come before his face:  for his presence will drop a man in the earth realm to his spiritual knees, or prostrate before him in his holiness and power.

I asked him— “Whoa Lord, what is this?  Why are you so powerful in your righteousness and glory before me, in a way I have not experienced before?  I AM UNDONE BEFORE YOUR HOLINESS!!!!

As I hit the deck, face down, pressed into the floor of the throne room, saying— “I am an unclean man before you!!!” Whilst looking only sideways at the souls/spirits present before me like a sea of entities on all sides: and I said to him…

“I see them, I see the importance, and I do not want to misspeak, misrepresent, or lead astray from the honest-from-God truth, and I feel the weight of what you speak.”

He let me stay there, and he said— “I need you to understand in a fuller measure how serious I am, how much I will hold my teachers, preachers, prophets, apostles, evangelists, and servants responsible for, with what they do in body in the earth realm:  for all are to be being led of me at all times.  And I need you to tell them this.”

Even reiterating that to you all right now, has me in reverent holy fear of God as I rethink it!

We run the risk of losing sight of who he is in ALL aspects of his person (God), if we only address him in one fashion or such (as in Father figure only, or bridegroom only, entertaining him as we would), over and over again:  and yet— we will all still be held responsible as his servants in the earth, with what we do in body here:  led of him, or self.

Ecclesiastes 1:17

“And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.”

Ecclesiastes 7:25

“I applied my heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom— and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness.”

Isaiah 47:10

“....Your wisdom and your knowledge, it has perverted you….”

[Let us remember the king of Tyre, equated with Lucifer and his fall, for once in the garden with God holy, but who lost his face.]

Ezekiel 28:1-18

“The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying— Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus – Thus saith the Lord God; Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said— I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet you are a man— and not God – though you set your heart as the heart of God:  Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from you:  With your wisdom and with your understanding you have gotten yourself riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasures:  By your great wisdom and by your traffick [trading] have you increased your riches [wealth, strength, and power], and your heart is lifted up because of your riches: Therefore thus saith the Lord God— Because you have set your heart as the heart of God;  Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon you, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, and they shall defile your brightness.

They shall bring you down to the pit, and you shall die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

Will you yet say before him that slays you— I am God

But you shall be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slays you.

You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.

Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying— Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.

You are the anointed cherub that covers; and I have set you so: You were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created— till iniquity was found in you.

By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you.

You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffick [trading]; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.”

The parable of the wasted, or properly handled talents, or investment of what the Lord has placed in all of us:

Matthew 25:41

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand— Depart from me, you cursed— into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Matthew 7:19-23

“Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.

Not everyone that saith unto me— ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day— ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name; and in your name have cast out devils;  and in your name done many wonderful works?’

And then will I profess unto them— ‘I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.’ ”

_______

Job 28:28

“And unto man he said— Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and —to depart from evil, is understanding.

_______

Jeremiah 9:22-24

“Speak, Thus saith the Lord— Even the carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them. (Beverly)

Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  But let him that glories glory in this— that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.”

Isaiah 11:1-3

“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots (Jesus, and then hence, all of us IN HIM, and he IN US):  And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;  And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord.”

________

Luke 1:16-18

“And many of the children of Israel he shall turn to the Lord their God.  And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias— to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

And Zacharias said unto the angel— Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife— well stricken in years.”

_______

Turning to the face of God, and turning others to the face of God— if we teach anything else, we are teaching something other than what Jesus taught, and other than what Jesus did:  that in which he saw his Father doing.

There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom: wisdom puts together the knowledge, based in the counsels of whom is assisting our reasoning inside (understanding), and led of whom is exalted within:  wisdom of God (led of his very person), or sensual, devilish wisdom— that descends NOT FROM ABOVE:  James 3:15

_______

Acts 6:9-10

“Then there arose, certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.”

_______

1 Corinthians 1:21-24

“For after that in the wisdom of God— the world, by wisdom, knew not God— it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.”

{And what do we preach?  WE PREACH GOD, nothing else: he is the way, the truth, and life.  And as my sister in Christ, Margaret said recently:  the way— is the first step of the outer court living with God; the truth is coming in contact with the Word of God in the Logos or the bible, the inner court;  and the holy of holies, the deepest relationship with God— is when one will LIVE THE TRUTH INCARNATE, in Christ Jesus, and Christ Jesus in us, and we will become in the earth as he is (in our vessels): lived in verity, no wavering, led of the Father, sanctified, consecrated, and being so on a daily basis convicted, reproved, reformed, and regaining our shape in the likeness of Christ Jesus once again in the earth.

We preach God, the son always preaches the Father, and by the Spirit in whom he has come into oneness union with:  the son will not exalt man.

The Son of God did not exalt his disciples telling everyone of how special they were, or what they walked in, or what blessings and gifts they have been given:  Jesus exemplified the need for maturation in the sons, the need for humbling in the sons (disciples), the need for reproof in the headship within them (get behind me satan), and that they would live humbled lives, directing all glory and honor, all reverence and acknowledgment to God the Father, and in the name of the name above all names:  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in whom we are all to find our being (living).}

“For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews it is a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness.

But unto them which are called: both Jews and Greeks— Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”

________

Ephesians 1:16-17

“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.”

_______

Colossians 2:2-4

“That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ— In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.”

_______

Genesis 3:8

“And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God— amongst the trees of the garden.”

[One of the most frightening verses and truths in the scripture.  There are many trees, or connections one can make within, and be tempted by, to hid in them (knowledge, wisdom, understanding or reason— STANDING APART, AWAY FROM GOD) in the garden, or the heart: instead of walking in the Spirit (the cool of the day) listening to, heeding God, and his voice in his headship, and our communion with him, directly.

Cool of the day: H7307 – Ruach/Spirit

Hebrew: רוּח

Transliteration: rûach

Pronunciation: roo'-akh

Definition: From H7306; wind; by resemblance— breath, that is, a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively— life; by extension a region of the sky; by resemblance— spirit.]

________

John 5:19

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them— Verily, verily, I say unto you— The Son can do nothing of himself, but (only) what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does— these also does the Son likewise.”

_______

Daniel 12:4

“But you, O Daniel— shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro— and knowledge shall be increased.”

2 Timothy 3:7

“Ever learning, and (or, but) never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
