Part 1--- They/it appear: sons of man, sons of God, nachash, nephilim/giants, and more?

That which has ‘appeared’

The serpent:  (Strong’s H5175) who deceived mankind— is called Nachash, in Hebrew.  Nachash signifies— to view attentively, to learn by attentive observation and experience— to hiss, to whisper, to divine, incantation, enchantment, augury or omen (a sign, signal or warning); it signifies also a serpent, so called from its hissing; it also signifies brass, copper, and iron, as inferior metals— chains and fetters.

So here we see that serpent/snake or nachash can mean, spiritually— to view someone or something attentively, to learn by that observation and experience;  it also can stand for a hissing or whisper (that’s a speech/sound communicated), to divine (which means to whisper a spell [say something enchanting] to predict a future happening) —hence incantation and enchantment and signs or warnings;  but it can also be spiritually signifying the ‘unrefined,’ or lesser vessels symbolically spoken of in scripture (likely— because idolatry is still upheld, or the presence of nachash):  brass, copper and iron— verses pure refined silver or gold spoken of in scripture— symbolic of our souls.

But it can also symbolically represent chains and fetters— which symbolizes bondage— due to the idolatry and presence of nachash (or the serpent) in a person’s life/soul— and the results of.

H5172 – divine

Hebrew: נחשׁ

Transliteration: nâchash

Pronunciation: naw-khash'

Definition: A primitive root; properly— to hiss that iswhisper a magic spell; generally to prognosticate (to forecast or predict [something future] from present indications or signs): divine, enchant, experience— learn by experience, diligent observation.

KJV Usage: enchantment (4x), divine (2x), enchanter (1x), indeed (1x), certainly (1x), learn by experience (1x), diligently observe (1x).

Ezekiel 28:13-19

“You have been in Eden, the garden of God; every precious [valuable, bright, costly, excellent, honorable and of reputation] stone [building block/stone, plummet] was your covering [garniture— garnish, accessorizing a vase (container)], the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship [deputyship, ministry, employment (servile), work, and property as a result of labors, business and manner of workmanship] of your tabrets [tambourine] and of your pipes [bezel for a gem] —was prepared in you— in the day that you were created.”

Bezellike a grooved ring/frame or such— that holds the cover of a face in position, of a watch— or is for holding a gem:  settings are characterized by rings of metal that hold the gemstones in place.  This encasing slightly overlaps the outer edges of the gem— which helps keep it safely locked in place.  Bezels are a popular option for contemporary engagement rings.

______

So, here we can see that there was ‘one’ who walked in Eden, the garden of God;  and this one was made of valuable, bright, costly, excellent, honorable stones (or building blocks, plummet [design/architecture]) of reputation;  and this one person (if you will) was covered or garnished like a beautiful vase or a container (this is supposed to be a container for godly affiliation and use, not a container for self);  whose tabrets or tambourine, and pipes— or bezels— were prepared in this ‘one,’ from day one that they were created.

Definition Tambourine— a percussion instrument resembling a shallow drum with small metal disks in slots around the edge— played by being shaken or hit with the hand;  root definition— see tambourin.

Tambourin— a long narrow drum;  root definition— see tambour.

Tambour— a small drum, a circular frame for holding fabric taut while it is being embroidered. In architecture— a wall of circular plan— such as one supporting a dome or surrounded by a colonnade (columns) —each of a sequence of cylindrical stones forming the shaft of a column.  A sliding, flexible shutter or door— on a piece of furniture— made of strips of wood attached to a backing of canvas.

Symbolically— this ‘one,’ was a drum to played by God’s hand (in unity with), who was beautiful— and was made to reflect the beauty of God in their building blocks or architecture:  a vessel of honorable design;  whose tabret/tambourine, or instrument of percussion (and percussion instruments keep the rhythm, make special sounds, and add excitement and color. Unlike most of the other players in the orchestra, a percussionist will usually play many different instruments in one piece of music.) —with cylindrical support and accompaniment;  whose pipes— or bezels— for holding gemstones— in place, helping to keep it safely locked in place, like in engagement rings or crowns —was prepared in this ‘one,’ since the origin of this one.

This ‘person,’ if you will— was designed to be CLOSE to God, in unity with— who was beautifully made to reflect God’s beauty (or glory) in their building block structure;  who was an instrument for God to play by his hand— keeping rhythm with God, making special sound with excitement and color.

They were also— a vessel/vase/container as an accompaniment of God;  whose gem holding, face holding frame and function— holding the covering of a face in position (representation) —or a gem in its setting— a band (something wrapped around, that holds together) that is able to hold much, much smaller gemstones:  and we are the royal diadems in his crowning glory.

And as we know from scripture— this one was one of two cherubim to be over the ark of the covenant mercy seat— with outstretched wings, meeting with the other, on the other side— causing a dome over the mercy seat of our Lord’s presence— where we meet him: the tambour and the dome of the structure.

Cherub— from Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon:  the living chariot of the theophanic God— meaning— the visible manifestation to humankind of God.

{Chariot— a two or four wheeled carriage;  root definition— late Middle English: from Old French, augmentative of char ‘cart’, based on Latin carrus ‘wheeled vehicle’.  Essentially, here— they tote around God’s presence [visible manifestation] and his workings (or wheels, gears, operations— and see much with their many eyes in the wheels, or operations of God.}

As the guards of the garden of Eden Genesis 3:24.

As the throne of Yahweh Sabaoth (צְבָאוֺת) ישֵׁב הַכְּרוּבִים ׳י Yahweh Sabaoth enthroned) dwells between the cherubim in 1 Samuel 4:4, 2 Samuel 6:2, and 1 Chronicles 13:6; the context shows that the cherubim of the ark of the covenant are referred to— and it is probable that the same reference— 2 Kings 19:15, Isaiah 37:16, Psalm 99:1.

Ezekiel describes the cherubim:  as four living creatures, each with four faces, lion, ox, eagle, and man— having the figure and hands of men— and the feet of calves. Each has four wings— two of which are stretched upward, meeting above and sustaining the throne of Yahweh;  two of them stretched downwards so as to cover the creatures themselves.  The cherubim never turn— but go straight forward— as do the wheels of the cherubic chariot— and they are full of eyes and are like burning coals of fire:  Ezekiel 1:5-28; Ezekiel 9:3; Ezekiel 10:1-20; Ezekiel 11:22; and the king of Tyre is scornfully compared with one of these— who is assigned a residence in Eden and the mountain of God Ezekiel 28:14-16— who God destroys.

Ezekiel knows of no cherubic statues in the new temple— but represents the inner walls of the temple as carved with alternating palm trees and cherubim— each with two faces:  the lion looking on one side, the man on the other.  It is evident that the number and the form of the cherubim vary in the representations (compare Ezekiel 41:18-25).

______

[Speaking to the king of Tyre, but referencing the original procurer

of sin/evil and iniquity]

Ezekiel 28:14-18

You are the anointed [expansion, outspread/outstretched wings] cherub who covers [is entwined as a screen, fences, covers over, protects as a defense/defends, hedges in, and joins together to shut up]; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain [range and place of promotion] of God; you have walked up and down [behaved self, entered, exercised, talebearer, wandered, waxed and whirled] in the midst of the stones [building blocks/stones, plummet] of fire [burning].

You were perfect [entire— literally, figuratively or morally— with integrity of truth, without blemish, complete, sincere, sound, without spot, undefiled, upright and whole] in your ways— from the day that you were created— until iniquity [moral evil, perverseness, unjust, unrighteousness, wickedness] was found [come forth, appeared or existed, was attained or acquired and presented] in you.

By the multitude of your merchandise [traded and trafficked, peddled substances] they have filled the midst of you with violence [wrong, unjust gains, cruelty, damage, oppression, unrighteousness and wrong dealings], and you have sinned [missed the mark, forfeited, lack, lead astray and are condemned, bear blame, fault, harm, offend and trespass]: therefore I will cast you— as profane [defiled, polluted, prostituted and stained] —out of the mountain [range and place of promotion] of God [the supreme God’s magistrates— angels, mighty judges]: and I will destroy you [cause you to wander, lose oneself, perish, destroy, not escape, fail, be undone, utterly void and have no way to flee] —O covering cherub— from the midst of the stones [building blocks/stones, plummet] of fire [burning].

Your heart was lifted up [soaring— lofty and haughtily, proudly, raised up as great] because of your beauty— you have corrupted [decayed, ruined, cast off, destroyed, perished, and spoiled— utterly wasting] your wisdom [good sense] by reason of your brightness [splendor and beauty]: I will cast [throw you down or away, and hurl] you to the ground [earth, nations and wilderness, world], I will lay you before kings [royalty] —that they may behold [see and consider] you.

You have defiled [wounded, dissolved, profaned, broken your word, opened a wedge/breach, played, prostituted, and stained] your sanctuaries [consecrated places (for God or idols), your asylum (shelter or protection) —hallowed part of you] by the multitude of your iniquities [moral evil, perverseness, unjust, unrighteousness, wickedness] —by the iniquity of your trafficking [traded and trafficked, peddled substances]; therefore I will bring forth a fire [burning] from the midst of you— it shall devour [eat, consume, dine on and feed freely on] you— and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth— in the sight of all them who behold you.”

______

So this a spiritual being who is anointed, or in the original Hebrew here, means— expansion and outspread wings— who is to cover, which means to be entwined as a screen, fence, cover over, protect as a defense or to defend, hedge in, and join together, and otherwise— shut up the mercy seat, relational, presence of the Lord area:  as God set this to be so.

This cherub was to be allowed access to God’s mountain, or in other terms— place of promotion in his Kingdom of God;  and this one walked, or behaved themselves— entered, exercised, told tales, wandered, waxed and whirled— in the midst of the stones— or building blocks and plummet of the burning of God, or fire.

With that statement, I am reminded of two scripture verses:

John 1:4

“In him was life; and the life— was the light of men.”  (the burning light)

1 Peter 2:4-5

“To whom coming (referencing Jehoshua/Jesus) —as unto a living stone— disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious;  you also— as lively stones— are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood— to offer up spiritual sacrifices— acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”

This cherub was perfect or entire— without blemish, complete, sincere, sound, without spot, undefiled and upright in their ways— on the day they were created…

Until… moral evil, perverseness, injustice, unrighteousness and wickedness was found (or founded, was attained, acquired and presented) in them— called iniquity.

This one traded and trafficked— peddled substances— namely lies, trading the truth for lies— and trafficking it in the form of hideous perversions of the truth, or the rightful ways;  and in this— violence— or wrong, unjust gains, cruelty, damage, oppression, unrighteousness and wrong dealings— or interactions— was fostered in them, as well as those in interaction with (think lying serpent, and the consequences of listening to what he spouts) —and in that— sin was the result, which means— to miss the mark, forfeit something (think eternal life), lack, lead astray and be condemned— bearing blame, fault, harm, offense and trespass against God, righteousness, holiness and truth.

And for that— this one who is called profane, or— defiled, polluted, prostituted (spiritually) and stained —is cast out of God’s presence, place of promotion, otherwise called— his mountain or domain.  And he will be destroyed, causing one to wander, lose themselves, perish, not escape, fail, be undone, utterly void (empty) and have no way to flee:  O cherub who was to be entwined as a screen, fencing in the mercy seat, cover over and protect defensively— hedging in and joining together, shutting or closing things up securely— who resided over the midst of the living, burning stones of fire— the plummet.

Plummet or Plumbline— is for finding the depth of waters:  hence, the deep places of God.

This one’s heart was lifted up proudly, raised up greatly, haughtily— because of their beauty;  corrupted— you decayed, ruined, cast off, destroyed, and spoiled your wisdom— utterly wasting it— your good sense;  and it was by reason of your splendor (which is another word for glory) or beauty, or brightness:  and for this God will overthrow, cast out and hurl them to the earth (ground), nations, wilderness and world— laying them before kings (royalty) —that these ‘kings’ may see and consider this profane one.

This one wounded, dissolved, profaned, broke their word, opened a wedge or breach— played, prostituted and stained their sanctuaries— or consecrated places (which are for God, but now— for idols) —your asylum or shelter and protection— the holy part of you— by the immense iniquity, moral evil, perverseness, injustice, unrighteousness, and wickedness in you;  by the peddling of these things, the trade off of the truth, for lies and perversion— peddled abroad to others:  and because of these undertakings— this one— will be devoured by a holy fire, right down to the center of them— that will consume, dine on, feed freely on them— bringing them to ashes (all the way reduced) upon the earth, in the sight of all who behold you.

Okay folks— this is all talking about the originator of the twisting of the truth and the form of godly holiness— BUT…  if the shoe fits.  And what I mean is— read all that again— and the Lake of fire is for anyone walking in any of that— including human souls now, who take from what he is peddling— hence, the fall of mankind— needing a Savior and Redeemer.

If we play in, and otherwise prostitute ourselves in idolatry and under idols/demons too— living in lies, purporting lies, trading the truth for lies and upholding lies, moral evil unrighteousness, spotted, unclean morally, and otherwise perverse and twisted out of proper shape, like the originator of this way and image, listening to his nachash— or enchanting hiss and counsels, as this one observes us, studies us attentively— to seek to destroy us…

If we partake in all that— we end up in the same state, a burning to the core of us, estranged from God, cast away and out of his presence— both now and for eternity:  but the GREATEST THING IS → Jehoshua/Jesus → and that we DO NOT HAVE TO END UP IN ALL THAT;  he paved the way back to yoking with righteousness, the truth, and the originator of that:  the God of truth and righteousness.

We can come back home, from whence we hailed from— if we will stop wading in lies, perversion, idolatry and uncleanness;  and choose, rather— to be cleaned back up by the truth of the word, and righteousness that we were clothed with— keeping clean by the upholding of the truth within us, and worshiping God again— from a pure place in our souls.

Nachash (the serpent/snake) comes to study us, to find fault with us (hence, accuser of the brethren), and to enchant us to follow his counsel (as a god) and fall for his lies— vacating the truth:  this is satan, when one will uphold these ways and beliefs— SO DON’T!!!

Don’t let a fallen spiritual entity (a cherub) lead you into total separation from God;  come back home— and into the truth again, and relax in the arms of the holy God of righteous living:  be born again, and come back alive in Christ Jesus/Jehoshua!!!

Genesis 17:1

“And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him— I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be perfect.”

Genesis 18:1-8, 16, 22, 33

“And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;  and he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, and said— My Lord, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:  Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:  And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are you come to your servant. And they said— So do, as thou hast said.

And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said— Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hastened to dress it.

And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree— AND THEY DID EAT.

And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.

And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.”

1 Samuel 3:9-10

“Therefore Eli said unto Samuel— Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he calls you— that you shall say— Speak, Lord; for your servant hears.  So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

And the Lord came— and stood— and called as at other times— Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered— Speak, for your servant hears.”

1 Kings 3:5

“In Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said— Ask what I shall give you.”

Genesis 31:11

“And the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of God spoke to me in a dream, saying— Jacob:  And I said— Here am I.”

______

The Lord’s point here, is that we understand— just as nachash (the serpent), or a demonic unclean spirit can appear or be presented— so can the Lord, or a holy spirit be present, or presented and appear:  both can come, show up or show out (a voice) and speak, or communicate:  and to the child of God— this was a regular occurrence in scripture— to those who uphold covenant relationship with God almighty:  hence— speak, for your servant, or your— bondman, one in bonds or ties— to you, hears you Lord.

I bring these things up— because there is some confusion around spirits, in general:  the consensus is, in the world (and oddly, in the church too) that only dead or unclean spirits show up, or show out to us in this realm— and biblically, and historically— this just isn’t true.  As well— there is consensus that they can never hold a physical form (whether truly a human suit, or likeness of— meaning, it looks like a human body, but may not have blood or flesh as we do— just the image of) —and that just isn’t the case either.

And as we end this section out, and enter the next— we see that God often used his angels, or— dispatched deputy messengers— and at times they were called— prophets, priests, teachers, ambassadors, angels, kings, or messengers— to relay his word, message, and will.

That means— his angels can either be in spirit form only (and we have one of those), or in physical form— with a spirit form, as well (we have both of those, and at times— so did the persons who appeared with our Lord, and to humans).

I think we have only believed that angels are ‘another species,’ for a very long time;  and I challenge us to think on two points here:

1, is that— angels are messengers, with or without material form— who have missions interacting with humanity in the material realm (so do we, on all accounts— as our great co-mission) —and fill the roles of dispatched priests, prophets, teachers, ambassadors (are we not), or kings (are we not).

And 2, that there ARE other beings, not like us in our likeness and image being made after God— who fit this bill too;  and that in all fairness of looking upon the definition in scripture— both human spirits with bodies, or those like as the cherubim or seraphim, or any other spirit being that God made— can fit the bill of being sent from God— to minister to humanity, on behalf OF GOD.

Angels, rather than a specific species— is a specific company of persons— who serve God’s interests in the created realms:  we will even check into the cloud of witnesses as part of this company, but first— angels defined and witnessed in their missions.

The angels appear

_______________________

H4397 – Angel

Hebrew: מלאך

Transliteration: mal'âk

Pronunciation: mal-awk'

Definition: From an unused root meaning to dispatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically of God— that is an angel (also a prophet, priest, or teacher): - ambassador, angel, king, messenger.

KJV Usage: angel (111x), messenger (98x), ambassadors (4x), variant (1x).

Dispatch —send off, the sending of someone to a destination or for a purpose, deal with (a task, problem, or opponent) quickly and efficiently, an official report on state or military affairs, a report from a far away place;  root definition— early 16th century: from Italian dispacciare or Spanish despachar ‘expedite’, from dis-, des- (expressing reversal) + the base of Italian impacciare, Spanish empachar ‘hinder’.

Arch·an·gel

/ˈärkˌānjəl/

an angel of high rank;  root definition— Middle English, from Anglo-Norman French archangele, via ecclesiastical Latin from ecclesiastical Greek arkhangelos, from arkhi- ‘chief’ + angelos ‘messenger, angel’.

________

Luke 1:19

“The angel answering him said— I am Gabriel [an archangel], who stands in the presence of God;  and I am sent to speak to you, and to show you these glad tidings.”

{Interesting note here, that angel means— messenger of good tidings, and in Isaiah 61:1 —we are called the anointed, who come forth to preach ‘good tidings’ to the meek— we who stand, also— in the presence of the Lord.}

Exodus 3:2

“And the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold— the bush burned with fire— and the bush was not consumed.”

{I am also reminded here, that the Lord has said to me many times— that we will become the holy fire once again, through our refinement and reformation into his image again— for we hail from that holy fire, originally;  and that we will not be consumed by it, like the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace— for there is not a hotter fire than the holy fire of God Almighty, holy and true!}

Acts 7:30

“And when forty years had expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.”

Matthew 1:20

“But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying— Joseph, son of David— fear not to take unto you Mary— your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”

{Do not discount your dreams— often God speaks, all throughout scripture in our dreams— it’s just another realm, or layer of God and his abilities to commune with us, in a state of rest.}

Luke 1:11

“And there appeared unto him an angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.”

{Angels— or holy, clean spirits— are around the throne of God, and deal intimately with God and humans in the material realm, in space and time.}

Genesis 48:15-16 {Jacob/Israel speaking to Joseph}

“And he blessed Joseph, and said— God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk— the God who fed me all my life long unto this day, the Angel (capitalized in scripture) [the dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger];  in this case ‘THE’ prophet, ‘THE’ priest, ‘THE’ teacher/rabbi, ‘THE’ ambassador of heaven and the Father, ‘THE’ Angel (capitalized), ‘THE’ King of kings, ‘THE’ ultimate messenger— the Lord God himself] —who redeemed me from all evil— bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

Exodus 14:18-20

“And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me— honor upon Pharaoh— upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

And the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of God— who went before the camp of Israel— removed, and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face— and stood behind them:  And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them— but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.”

Numbers 22:22-23

“And God’s anger was kindled because he went:  and the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary [an opponent] against him.  Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.  And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way— and his sword drawn in his hand:  and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field:  and Balaam smote the ass to turn her into the way.”

Judges 6:12

“And the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord appeared unto him and said— The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor.”

Judges 6:22

“And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord, Gideon said— Alas, O Lord GOD!  Because I have seen an angel of the Lord— face to face.”

Judges 13:18

“And the angel of the Lord said to him— Why do you ask after my name [position, mark of individuality, honor, authority and character, renown] —seeing it is a secret?”

{The Lord wanted this verse here, specifically, to demonstrate that a true angel of the Lord— does not need to be addressed individually;  and what I mean is— they do have names, but they are not here for themselves— they are here to do a job;  and like the cloud of witnesses— they are a body of persons who do the will of God:  personal honor, or personal recognition is not needed;  the only name they need to be known by is —fellow servant of the most high God, not a personal mark of individuality, honor or renown— whilst on mission, as an ambassador, to represent the King.

I also note— unclean spirits love to be known, worshiped, and recognized:  they love it when you ask their names, positions, attributes, identification markers— or otherwise individually address them.

And we— his servants in the earth— are to be known by HIS name, not our own— as we are a collective body of Christ, the only name that matters:  when we have to have a name of our own to identity with— we then prove we need honor and recognition, angels or messengers of God do not.}

Judges 13:20-21

“For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven— from off the altar— that the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar.  And Manoah and his wife looked on, and fell on their faces to the ground.  The angel of the Lord did no more appear to Manoah and his wife.  Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the Lord.”

{From the fire— back to the fire:  we will also ascend into the holy fire again, as burning ones.}

Hosea 12:3-4 (Jacob, over Esau)

“He took his brother by the heel [seize, circumvent, restrain, supplant] in the womb, and by his strength [successful effort, ability, power and might]— he had power [vanquishing rule, crown, reign] with God:  Yes— he had power [rule, crown and reign] over the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger], and prevailed…”

{Here we begin to see that a person, of earthly domain— can indeed, and is— called an angel, too:  as Esau was referenced as an angel.}

Zechariah 12:8

“In that day the Lord shall defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem;  and he who is feeble among them at that day— shall be as David (strong);  and the house of David shall be as God— as the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord before them.”

{And here we see that God’s desire is for the house of God, in the earth— to be a ruling house of dominion, by the holy judgments and leadership of the Lord God— becoming an angel of the Lord, or a messenger unto the lost world, and people of— resembling a people who bring the message, the King (as an ambassador would), being priestly, prophetic teachers.

This is beautiful depiction of the image of the house of God, that our Lord is in effort of creating in this realm:  a godly house of people, unspotted, and ironed out— back into their original design and likeness— after he himself— and walking out a commission in this earth realm— to seek and save that which has been lost, from the house of Israel.}

 {Quoted and taken from the Blue Letter Bible . com}

“On six occasions in the New Testament, the term angel refers to human beings.

This is the one about whom it is written— 'See, I am sending My messenger [angel] ahead of you, who will prepare Your way before You.' (Matthew 11:10).

Other examples of the word "angel" referring to humans are found in Mark 1:2; Luke 7:24,27; 9:52; and James 2:25 (the spies).

The Apostle Paul uses the phrase "messenger [angel] of Satan" (2 Corinthians 12:7) when referring to some physical ailment that he had.

Often we find in the New Testament qualifying phrases such as "angels of heaven" (Matthew 24:36) when referring to angelic creatures.  These phrases make it clear that angelic personages are in view.  The context usually makes it clear whether we are dealing with earthly or heavenly messengers.

Angels are a company of beings rather than a race.  They do not marry, neither are they male or female.  They are sexless, unmarriageable, creatures— who do not propagate their own kind, Jesus said so.  By nature, they have no physical form; and Jesus made this point when referring to His resurrection body.

Luke 24:39

“Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have.”

Their spirit-form does not necessarily imply that they have no body at all, merely that it is not a human body— they have a different makeup from humanity.  Whether angels are pure spirit, such as God— or have some type of material existence, such as humans— is a much debated point.

Angels are unseen until God chooses a time when they are to appear.  We cannot be exactly certain whether the bodies these angels assumed were real bodies— or only appeared to be real.  There is not enough information to know for certain.  We do know that angels are capable of materializing only when God wills— they cannot do something like this on their own.

On one occasion we find them eating (Genesis 18:8).  This indicates— at least for that one episode— the angels took on a real body.”

Satan appears

____________________

“Satan is the evil inclination to veer off the path of righteousness and faithfulness in God.  In Judaism— satan is seen as an agent subservient to God— typically regarded as a metaphor for the yetzer hara— or "evil inclination."

{taken from Jewish virtual library . org}

________

Job 1:6-12

“Now there was a day when the sons [builders of the family name of God— with a quality or condition:  anointed, appointed, born— branch, young, child, fruit bore/born, servant, spark, whelp] of God [Supreme God, magistrate, exceeding high God, Almighty] —came to present themselves [place and stand] before the Lord— and Satan [H7854:  opponent, arch (chief one) enemy of good— who withstands good] came also among them.

And the Lord said unto Satan— Whence comest thou (or, where have you come from)? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said— from going to and fro [traveling] in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

{Remember— nachash (the serpent) comes to study mankind, with a loathing for mankind, especially those who follow, exalt and worship God holy, and the truth.  And here we will see that God knows this— and asks satan— if he has ‘considered,’ that’s a reference for— Have you studied Job:  satan has a job to do, if you will— and that is— to give us a choice to either follow him, his ways, his minding, his temptations to fall away from God and do a different thing, a different way— being estranged from God, the truth and the way;  or— to give us the opportunity through adversity (hardship), as an adversary— one who brings that— to choose to uphold God, the truth and worship him still yet;  which in turn— refines us, and matures us, strengthens us, and trains us up— sparring with an enemy:  essentially— we return to our TRUE IDENTITIES— high above all those principalities and powers, influences and ways— in Christ Jesus.

The nachash only comes to give us an option;  in the garden we took that option— in the redemption— we relinquish it, and stand steadfast with our God:  in the truth, the ways of, and in eternal life— stepping out of death and estrangement, lies and perversion— resuming our original design and shape again:  godliness.

A satan— is one who upholds the opposition role, or opposing role to God, the truth and righteousness;  and so— the one who has no name now, and only a title— is given this title— because that is the role he upholds:  best we do not.}

“And the Lord said unto Satan— Have you considered my servant [bondman] Job, that there is none like him in the earth— a perfect and an upright man— one that fears God, and eschews evil?

Then satan [the opposing force against good— the arch enemy and adversary of good— come to withstand it] answered the Lord, and said— Does Job fear [morally revere] God for nought [or devoid of costing anything or reason of advantage— for nothing— or causelessly, empty/vain]?

10-11

Have you not made a hedge about him, and about his house, and all that he has on every side?  You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.  But put forth your hand, now— and touch all he has— and he will curse you to your face.

12

And the Lord said to satan— Behold, all that he has— is in your power;  only upon him, put not forth your hand.  So satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.”

_____

Satan will come to steal, kill and destroy— but God has come to give life, and life more abundantly;  he also comes to tempt us— in these times of being stolen from (think health, wealth, provision), as he destroys (or strips us in different ways), with his intention— to kill your faith, trust, reverence and worship of God, and his goodness in your life.

You see, it is not what you endure through in this life that is the issue at hand (many, like Job, the disciples/apostles, prophets and men and women of God suffered at the hand of the adversary, but were still esteemed of God) —it is— whether you will still remain the same steadfast defender of the truth, the way and the person of (God holy) in the midst of the trials and temptation to abandon belief and trust in his goodness, hand, power, dominion, or desire to RECOMPENSE YOU, or save you, and return you to a proper status with him in the earth realm.

All those who trusted in God through adversity, enduring it until the end of it— were rewarded for their faithfulness to God, the truth, and the way of righteousness:  we will be too.

______

Zechariah 3

“And he showed me Joshua [Jehoshua— Jehovah-saved, Jewish leader] —the high priest, standing before the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord— and satan [the opponent, the arch enemy of good, adversary who withstands] standing at his right hand— to resist him.

And the Lord said unto satan [opponent of good, and arch (chief one) enemy of good, adversary who withstands good] —The Lord rebukes [chide— disapproval, scold, reproach— force back and repress: root definition] you, O Satan; the Lord that has chosen Jerusalem— rebukes [disapproves, scolds, reproaches, and forces you back in repression] you: is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?”

{God is making a point here— This child of mine, this son of God— walks in the holy fire with me, and is a rod of fire, himself— can you not see this?}

“Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger].

And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying— Take away the filthy garments from him.  And unto him he said— Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with a change of raiment [mantle, changeable suit].”

{This is a representation of what happens to us, when we uphold God holy and true— we are robed in his righteous, clean garment (mantle);  and do we now understand why we are to keep our garments or raiment clean and ironed out— it’s his personal conduct he robed us in— and his conduct is holy and righteous;  and that robe— IS A MANTLE.

I’ve said for quite some time— why settle for anyone else’s mantle— when Jehoshua gave us his?  I want to wear the mantle or raiment of righteousness— and that is found in Christ— upheld in me:  and he has ALL THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT, and he has FULL DOMINION in this realm, and all others.

What other mantle would we ever desire to aspire to, or be robed in— save— the mantle of sonship, in Christ Jesus?}

“And I said— Let them set a fair [pure— in a moral sense] mitre [head dress wrapped around, a diadem, hood] upon his head.  So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments [covering, raiment, robe].  And the angel [dispatched deputy messenger— prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, angel, king, messenger] of the Lord stood by.

And the angel of the Lord protested [testified] unto Joshua, saying—

Thus says the Lord of hosts; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge— then you shall also judge [rule, judge as an umpire, contend, execute judgment, minister, plead the cause with] my house [family], and shall also keep my courts— and I will give you places to walk among these who stand by.”

{And here is another reference to the house of God— becoming like his angel in the earth— his spiritual representative to the lost world, as well as— ministering in godly judgment, contending and umpiring (regulating) his family— by upholding his ways, his truth, righteousness and holiness (essentially, godliness) —under the leadership of God, the headship of the house of God;  and in this upheld and walked in— we will also— keep his courts:  this is the true identity of the collective, of the house of God, and those who return to their proper identity in Christ Jesus:  servants to God most high, and to the brethren— born of holiness, righteousness and truth— led by the God of.}

“Hear now, O Joshua the high priest— you, and your fellows [associates— brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband (partner), lover, neighbor] who sit before you: they are men wondered at: for, behold— I will bring forth my servant [bondman, bondservant man-servant] the Branch [sprout and bud springing forth].

For behold the stone [to build, that is— Jehoshua/the word of God, the Cornerstone of truth] that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes [fountain countenances, presences (representative of the 7 spirits of God: the 7 winds, breezes/blasts, rational being/mind of God)]: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, says the Lord of hosts— and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

In that day, says the Lord of hosts— you shall call every man— his neighbor [associates— brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband (partner), lover, neighbor] under the vine— and under the fig tree.”

______

Satan comes to tempt, it’s what he did in the garden with Adam and Eve— he essentially comes around to give mankind ‘an option,’ if you will— albeit, through cunning deception, harsh circumstances, and with dire consequences if we heed his counsels.

But note— within these scenarios— were men of valor, vessels of honor to the Lord;  do we think— that a vessel ought not be tried in the furnace of affliction, and proved to be a worthy vessel?

Is this not what satan comes to do— tempt us to either turn and worship him (self leadership) and estrange ourselves from God and his leadership, and curse God— calling to his name and character of person, a falsehood of identity, and cause to believe he is not good— or, remain loyal to God holy through it all— through all temptations, all adversity (we have an adversary), all loss, all suffering, stripping, warfare against us— and praise God’s holy name?

Is this not how vessels of honor are founded or established?  Was there ever one who came to be in this realm— who did not go up against satan, temptation, affliction, suffering, stripping, being stolen from, accused, persecuted or otherwise— went through massive hardship?

I believe, if we are honest— and we look back through all the greats of scripture— we will find that ALL OF THEM, including our Lord— went through adversity from the adversary, and into the furnace of affliction— to be refined into a pure product, or produce (fruit) of the Lord.

Luke 1:35

“The angel answered and said to her— The Holy Ghost [extremely shocking/reverential—  sacred, most holy, saintly, physically pure morally blameless or religious ceremonially consecrated;  wind/breath/exhalation of spirit— the rational, vital, principled, mental disposition and being/expression/function and mind of God holy— Christ’s spirit] —shall come [supervene, influence] upon [superimpose, rest, distribute upon] you —and the power [force, miraculous power/miracle itself, ability, abundance, mighty work] of the Highest [Supreme] shall overshadow [cast upon, envelope in a haze of brilliance, invest with preternatural (beyond what is normal or natural) influence] you:  therefore also— that holy thing which shall be born [procreated, regenerate, begotten, brought forth, and conceived to be delivered] of you— shall be called the Son [kinship] of God [the Supreme Divine deity, magistrate— exceeding God].”

______

Do we understand what God did for Mary, in the physical— he is doing for us— in the spiritual?

The holy Spirit— or the one who is— shockingly, extremely, reverentially sacred, most holy, saintly, physically pure, morally and blamelessly, religiously, ceremonially consecrated wind/breath/exhalation of God himself— the rational, vital, principled, mental disposition and being/expression and function of the mind of God holy, Christ’s Spirit— shall come and supervene and influence us, resting on and in us, and distributing upon us— POWER, or force of miracles, ability, abundance from the most high and supreme himself;  who casts himself like a shadow over us his own person, enveloping us in his brilliance (glory), investing in us something that supersedes the natural:  procreating, regenerating and conceiving in us, to be delivered unto us— a newness in Christ Jesus;  and in this— sonship (kinship) with our Father (Creator) once again, takes place.

Do we understand what he did with Mary— was a type and shadow of what his Spirit desires to do with his people, once again?  —conceive, recreate— a new thing, a new creation in Christ Jesus— by the power of the Spirit of God?

THE Son of God— is one;  and THE God most high— is one;  but we are to be his sons— or offspring born of his image and likeness, who follow after ‘the one’ true God, and the exemplary walk of ‘the’ Son— and firstborn of many brethren:  when we are— there is not a force on earth or heaven that can stand against us— for we are born from above, and in the image and likeness of our Father— who is HIGH ABOVE all principalities and powers.

When we begin to allow the Holy Spirit of God to reform us— we begin to walk in the fire;  and as we become sanctified by his hand— we BECOME the holy fire, as he is:  and in this— we are untouched by ANY force who is not God holy.

_______

Genesis 4:4-5, 7, 12, 16, 17-18 (Cain and Abel, offspring of Adam and Eve)

“And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings [firstborn] of his flock and of the fat thereof.  And the Lord had respect [compassionate gazing introspection/considering in amazement— bewilderment and regard] unto Abel, and to his offering [apportion, bestowment/donation/tribute, gift, oblation]:  But unto Cain, and to his offering— he had no respect [compassionate gazing introspection/considering in amazement— bewilderment and regard].

And Cain was very wroth [blazingly jealous, angry and burning with displeasure, fret, grief— waxing hot], and his countenance [presence, person]  fell [failed, fell away, was overthrown, perished, rot, slayed, was smited and thrown down].

If you do well [good, merry, diligently] —shall you not be accepted [set in elevation, elation or cheerfulness— exalted in rank or character, dignity, excellency— raised up]?  And if you do not well [good] —sin [offense] lies [crouches, lurks embedded, and sits] at the door [entry way].

… A fugitive [staggering wanderer] and a vagabond [wandering, disappearing, shaking of the head in scorn, taunted, bemoaning, fleeing, removed, pitied, sorry, wanderer] you shall be in the earth.

*And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord.

And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived— and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son— Enoch.

And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.”

_____

This is the origin of the first human to not only be born into the fallen world/existence —but to murder another soul (his brother Abel);  and in doing so— he paid a dear cost;  he was estranged from God, caused to wander in scorn, and be cast away from God’s presence:  this rivals the unnamed one, who is now called ‘satan,’ or opposer of good, and traducer— or false accuser and slanderer of name and character.

This is where the lineage line of Adam splits off— and one child (Abel and then Seth) go one way toward God;  and the other, Cain— goes and is sent away from God— and serving good, righteousness, holiness, and the God of:  away from the presence of the Lord.

{Side note, there are 2 Enochs in the lineage line of Adam, if you did not know that;  one is born to Cain, here;  and the other is born to Seth, next:  one was noted to serve God, and the other it was never mentioned of him.}

_____

Genesis 4:25-26

“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bore a son— and called his name Seth: For God— she said— has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

And to Seth— to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

Genesis 5:3

“And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness [resemblance, fashion and manner], and after his image; and called his name Seth.”

Genesis 5:18-22, 24

“Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years— and he begat Enoch:  And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:  And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

And Enoch lived sixty and five years— and begat Methuselah:  And Enoch walked with God— after he begat Methuselah— three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

And Enoch walked with God:  and he was not;  for God took him.”

_____

Now, Enoch was born unto Cain, but— THERE ARE 2 ENOCH’S— in scripture, and in the family of Adam;  I know, right!

One came from Cain and his wife— who begat:  Methusael (not Methuselah), who begat a Lamech.

And here it can get slightly confusing, because Seth— who was a child after Adam’s own likeness (inside and out) and unto God— begat children himself:  Enos— who begat Cainan, who begat— Mahalaleel, who begat— Jared, who begat Enoch, who begat Methuselah— who begat a Lamech, who begat NOAH:  who begat Shem, Ham and Japheth.

Now see, close names— and some are THE SAME— but different family tree origin!!

One Enoch born to Cain, and from his seed;  and the other— born to Seth, and from his seed:  different fathers.

The Enoch of SETH— who took after Adam, not Cain— walked with God, and pleased God— and was no more.

So, here we see the lineage of those who ‘walk with God,’ right before we come into the 6th chapter of Genesis (which means, the beginning, or origins) where we discuss ‘daughters of men,’ and ‘sons of God.’

Romans 8

{summaries of some of the verses of Romans 8}

They walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (sons of God). That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

They who are in the flesh— cannot please God.  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God— they are the sons of God.  The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children [produce/product] of God.

For the earnest expectation of the creature— waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption —into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son— that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

We are the children, the sons (offspring) of God, his nature, his demeanor, his attributes, his character— his integrity of character, his ways, his person:  duplicate seedlings that took, in the soil of the soul (heart);  but those who do not— are not the sons of God, but sons of the flesh, or man.
