Genesis 18:17-23

“And the Lord said— Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him— that he will command [constitute and appoint, set in order] his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way [course of life, conversation, custom, manner] of the LORD, to do justice [rightness, rectitude— correct or right behavior, moral virtue and virtuous actions] and judgment [verdict pronounced, sentencing or formal decree, human or divine law, including the act, the suit of the crime, and penalty of, determination and discretion, dispose— arrange and place]; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him.

20 And the Lord said— Because the cry [shriek and outcry] of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin [habitual offenses and penalty of as offenders, the punishment and purification] is very grievous…

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which has come unto me; and if not— I will know.

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood (remained) yet before the LORD.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said— Will you also destroy the righteous [just, lawful men] with the wicked [morally wrong bad persons— condemned, guilty, ungodly]?”

_____________________

This is the place in scripture where Abraham did not depart like the rest of the folk, to return to the city, to Sodom and Gomorrah, but instead— remained before the LORD’S face— which means he had more reason to inquire of the Lord, or discover more of him.

This is when he said to God— “Will you destroy it, if there are 50 righteous left in it, or what about even 10 left?” To which the Lord was willing to work with Abraham, but alas— there were not even 10 righteous left in it.

So God removed Lot, and his family— and it all came under his fiery judgment.

There are righteous men in God’s eyes/perspective— and there are wicked men; there is a standard by which God measures between righteousness and wickedness: The Standard is Christ.

Christ’s standard, God’s standard of righteousness is different than ours— it is whole, it is perfect; we are imperfect vessels whilst here, but thank God he still uses us— for we walk in and with Christ’s righteousness— which means because we accepted him, and made him Lord of our lives, master of our decisions, hearts, minds and leadership of us— we acquire his record of righteousness unto us.

But, we have to walk in his righteousness; we cannot just know about it, and reject it; it’s a gift given to us to have the ability to walkout his righteousness in our souls: in our minds— the mind of Christ, in our emotions— stable discipline of our person, in our decision making wills— to walkout his will.

If you choose not to walk in Christ’s righteousness— you have rejected the New Man nature in Christ.

Romans 8:1-10

“There is therefore now— no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus— (those) who walk not after the flesh, but (instead) after the Spirit.”

There is no condemnation, which means in Strong’s— adverse sentencing and verdict of condemning, which means— disapproval, punishment, guilt, or being unfit for use (dictionary definition of condemn); root definition— Middle English from Old French condemner, from Latin condemnare, from con- (expressing intensive force) + damnare ‘inflict loss on’ (see damn).

Damn— condemn and denounce in ‘disapproval,’ root definition— Middle English: from Old French dam(p)ner, from Latin dam(p)nare ‘inflict loss on’, from damnum ‘loss, damage’.

We have no disapproval, punishment, guilt or being seen as ‘unfit for use,’ condemned to have loss and damage inflicted upon us— if we WALK NOT FOLLOWING AFTER THE ‘flesh,’ but instead— WALK FOLLOWING THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD: led, by the Spirit of God, not the spirit of this world.

Which means, if one has been given the choice between two natures— we had better choose to ‘walk,’ or life— stepping with the Holy Spirit, by his LEAD, and not our own— or the lead of the flesh, which is led by the spirit of this world: satan.

If it says the words ‘to those who,’ it is giving a stipulation to ‘those people,’ ONLY; and all others will walk in condemnation, which, again, means— disapproval, guilt with punishment, and unfit for use.

Unfit for whom to use?

God holy, for they walk ‘contrary to’ the way his person walks.

We can claim all day, every day, many things from our minds and lips— but the truth is the truth; if we are one who is calling ourselves by ‘his name,’ that’s not just the name Christ-ian, it is BY HIS REPUTATION and CHARACTER— that is what is ‘in’ a name, the walk of that man, the character of that man.

If we talk— ‘the talk,’ he’s saying—

‘You will walk → the walk.’

He understands we have never been able to walk it out perfectly without failure or infractions— but if folks in the old covenant could please him, without the indwell of Christ’s finished work yet— can we not with Christ do all things— like throw down sinning in our lives, and walk justly with Christ, since his Spirit is quite literally to INDWELL with us??

Are we so apt to say we are sinners, but not willing to say we can now walk in Christ’s righteousness— and put effort into it? It is nothing more than agreeing with his character, and wishing to return to it ourselves, to which— he is eager to help us walk in.

He knows we will fail at it here and there, but if we are quick to turn from it, like David, when he was corrected— we will have successfully resurrected the ‘tabernacle of David’ again, in the last days.

The tabernacle of David being— the ‘heart’ that is after God, to be close to God, to love God, to be led and corrected of God, and to worship God, as we repent and turn from the sinful behaviors— and choose to willingly walk in his character and nature: righteousness.

Be ye holy— for he is holy; this is something we should be desiring to attain, in any measure whilst here in this realm— for in heaven, and the new world to come— we will walk and find our being, as he is.

Jeremiah 6:16

“Thus saith the Lord— “Stand in the highways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said— We will not walk therein.”

It’s always been a choice to follow God’s paths, his paths or routes and road of righteousness— or not; and even those of the old testament pleased God, and it was imputed upon him to be men and women of righteousness:

(Romans 4) —"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

(Genesis 5:22-24) —”And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”

(Job 1:1)

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright [straight, JUST, righteous], and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”

(Judges 4:5-6) “And Deborah, a prophetess— the wife of Lapidoth— she judged [pronounced sentence and decree, governed] Israel (God’s people— to which the name Israel means— he will rule as God does) at that time. 5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah, between Ramah and Bethel, in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment [Justice, decree, verdict— of human or divine law].”

(Genesis 6:8-9) “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just [lawful and righteous] man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”

These are a few of the men and women of the old testament covenant, before Messiah walked the earth in a body, and with a ministry—and yet, they walked the paths of righteousness with God; they walked in his righteousness.

Ought we not walk right with God, as well?

Ought we walk the paths, road, route and conduct of our God, as well?

Ought we put ‘effort in’ to walk as God walks?

Those men and women were not perfect in all their ways— but scripture says it was ‘accounted unto’ them as righteousness.

We can have an account of righteousness applied to us as well— ESPECIALLY after Christ has come, lived, died, risen— and is indwelling us, as we are becoming one with his Spirit.

We have the choice to walk in Christ’s righteousness, or to make excuses and take it for granted that it was ‘given’ to us; something given is just that— if it is not used.

We must choose to ‘walk in’ Christ’s righteousness, being reformed by the hand of the God of LIFE, and choose to not walk the paths of sin and death any longer— but to choose to abide by the Spirit of Life, and the Spirit of the Law and conduct of God (Romans 8).

God will force no man to be a first fruit of his; every man must willingly choose to be refined, reproved, corrected, and weighed (judged) by the living God, NOW— to become a first fruit of the Son; the Son who is the first of many brethren to follow in his footsteps, as he follows the Holy Father.

How can we follow in his footsteps, his paths of righteousness— if we abhor the paths of righteousness, and desire rather to forgive our sin, and walk still in it?

Discipline of persons is required.

He did not say— “Go into all the world creating people who will profess that Christ is their God, Savior and Father.”

He said…

Matthew 28:19-20— “Go ye therefore, and teach [become a pupil, a student, enrolling as a scholar, unto instruction] all nations [people], baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching [causing to learn] them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo— I am with you always— even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

He asked us to create students of his way, because we will have been following his paths, his ways, his conduct; and in that— we will walk with God, as his Spirit finds his person— coming into agreement with his personality, character and attributes, desiring to attain to be like him— and we will be walking in his righteousness: his just and upright character.

It’s essentially— taking full use of his righteousness, and that— in Christ, we can do all things: even getting a grip on our conduct and character, through DISCIPLINE (being a disciplined one, a disciple).

It’s a choice.

We can choose to uphold Christ’s character within, and desire to walk as the New Man creation ‘in Christ;’ or— we can make excuses, and walk contrary to his nature, character and attributesnot desiring to discipline ourselves, not become student pupils of his ways, and remain unlearned.

And that would be walking in unrighteousness, outside the paths of God— because we simply want to recall our sin nature, above what God has newly given us in his Spirit, when born again: his nature and Spirit now, in a newly born spirit within us.

It’s a choice to desire to be like God and reformed into his image again— much perfecting will take place on the other side; but to those who will have it NOW, to be willingly reformed into his image (that means his character), they will be his first fruits company: the 144,000 company of sons of God, Romans 8 manifesting sons.

He will force no one to walk his paths, and it is a tight and restricting path— because this world, and the spirit thereof —walks contrary to his Spirit: the carnal flesh nature.

It wants to excuse everything, and walk in greasy grace; which truly means— taking for granted all God has gifted us with, in the New Man creation, and the ability to become one with the Spirit of God.

He is constantly asking us…

“Are you like/same as me in this area

Do we agree here?”

This is something we need to weigh in ourselves every day; if we judge ourselves, we will not be judged.

1 Corinthians 11:31

“For if we would judge [separate thoroughly, withdraw from or oppose, discriminate and decide, contend to make different] ourselves— we should not be judged [condemned and punished, by being sued in law, and called into question]. 32 But when we are judged [condemned and punished, by being sued in law, and called into question] —we are chastened [trained up as a child, educated and disciplined in instructions] of the Lord [the supreme authority, controller, master, Sir, and respected title bearer] —that we should not be condemned [judged and sentenced unto damnation] with the world [arrangement and order of the world— inhabitants of the moral of the world].”

It’s all spelled out so very clearly in that first verse (I bet we forgot we were working on Romans 8, the first verse still); condemnation, let us recall the definition of it, as well as damned— and Romans 8:1, again.

Choose wisely of the 2 natures,

which you are willing to uphold— and walk in.

2 For the law of the Spirit of lifein Christ Jesus— has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

This is meaning he gave us a ‘new’ spirit to follow— and it is THE SPIRIT OF LIFE; and we no longer have to choose to abide by the spirit of sin and death.

But he will force no man’s free will to choose for himself— whom he will serve: the Spirit of Life (God holy), or the spirit of sin and death (satan).

One is reconciliation and agreement (the vital principle of life in Christ), and the other is offense to God’s nature (sin, offense, transgressing his person’s conduct) and death, which is estrangementdisagreeing and walking contrary to God (which is the hostile enemy of God, the carnal nature of pride): but the choice is ours, and offered daily, hourly, and minute by minute— and case, or situation by situation.

We choose whom we serve, when we make determinations inside, based upon what our heart, and who our hearts are truly in agreement with, and subject to:

LIFE and AGREEING WITH GOD’S NATURE, and being reformed back into it (his conduct and inner person, and becoming one with him, or in agreement) —or, DEATH, estranged from God, his nature, his paths of righteous living, and SIN (which is transgressing his nature, character, conduct and attributes) —because we just ‘won’t have it.’

We won’t DO IT, and walk with him, in TRUTH, or in SPIRIT: Babylon was guilty of ‘not having it,’ before— and Babylon 2.0 will go down harder than the first.

He did say— we must worship him in Spirit, and Truth.

3 “For what the law [regulations given to Moses, as well as the gospel, or good news and principles] could not do [was unable or impossible and impotent], in that it was weak [made to be feeble, impotent], through the flesh [the body, meat skin, and human nature with its frailties, physically or morally, passions as human being, carnal minded nature] —God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin— condemned [judged against, and sentenced, damned] sin— in the flesh [body, meat skin and human nature, passions and mindedness]:”

Are we??

Are we condemning, sentencing, judging against and damning SIN in our flesh meat skins, human nature, passions and minding??

Because that’s how Christ won over, and condemned sin— he RULED OVER THE FLESH; we, with Christ in us now— have this same calling, and with his might— at that.

We are called to RULE OVER THE FLESH, by STRENGTHENING OUR SPIRIT WITH GOD: where two come together, and agree upon a thing, with him in the midst of it all; we must come into agreement with him, his person, his conduct, his nature, his attributes— and by his leadership within us.

For what the law, or the regulations given to Moses, as well as the gospel, or the good news and principles of God— could not do— because it was unable, impossible and impotent through our weakness as we walk in accordance with the sin nature…

We needed the Son, to come in the likeness of sinful flesh too— that means, he was incarnated into a fallen base nature, as like we are— BUT— HE— was ABLE TO RULE OVER IT PERFECTLY, and NOT transgress God’s conduct, character, attributes or nature!!

And ‘that God—’ is IN US NOW, desiring to become ‘one with’ us, in likeness of his Spirit’s nature, character, conduct and attributes— or fruits of his person!

And in that he said— “we are to condemn sin, in our flesh,” as like he did: RULE OVER IT— which is to say, SLAY IT, and WALK STRONGLY IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD, the Spirit of LIFE, and the Spirit of the Law of God.

I want us to understand here— he did not say the old law was not good— just that it was made IMPOTENT, ‘powerless’ against sin— because our flesh made it weak; but some, DID PLEASE GOD, even back then: it is VERY POSSIBLE to ‘please God;’ but we must choose to walk in agreement with him, by faith in him to be enough, to be our Father, and to desire to be ‘like him,’ in image once again.

Our flesh is weak, and made to be feeble, impotent— it broke with satan when he seeded us with his ‘perversion,’ or his twisting and brokenness, that walks CONTRARY, or ADVERSELY, as an ADVERSARY— against the Holy God.

The flesh— the body, meat skin, and human nature with its frailties, physically or morally— and its passions as a human being, and its carnal minded nature— will always be a ‘HOSTILE OPPONENT, and ADVERSARY’ of God: as verse 7, below— will show us.

4 “That the righteousness of the law [regulating laws, principles] might be fulfilled in uswho walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

There has always been a requirement to not walk in condemnation, or legal sentencing— it is to walk in agreement with the Spirit of God and being led by him; because in doing that— we will fulfill the righteousness of the law, or the regulating principles of behavior, in alignment with God holy and how he conducts his person.

And all because we will be RULING OVER, or SLAYING the flesh— whilst STRENGTHENING THE SPIRIT, and following, walking after the lead and conduct of the Spirit of God that was gifted to us: as Christ exemplified for us to do, as we follow his lead and example.

________________

5 “For they who are after the flesh → do mind [exercise the mind, and entertain in sentiment or opinion— being mentally disposed in a certain direction, to interest oneself in, concern or be obedient to, as like and one with] the things of the flesh [body, meat skin and human nature, passions and mindedness] —but (instead)—they who are after the Spirit— (will mind) the things of the Spirit.”

It is stated as exercising the mind, entertaining in sentiment or opinion, being mentally disposed in a certain direction, and to interest oneself in— concerning or being obedient to… THAT’S THE DEFINITION OF ‘minding’ something, or someone: it’s important whether that is the FLESH, or the Holy Spirit of God!

_______________

6 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

I mean—

WHO WANTS PEACE and LIFE, right?

I, for one DO!!

To exercise myself in, to entertain in a sentiment and/or an opinion in alignment with the flesh…

to be mentally disposed to act, behave, believe the certain direction of the flesh nature…

and to interest myself in— which means, to concern myself with, or be obedient to the flesh carnal nature— IS DEATH: as that is the definition of ‘to mind’ something.

_______________

7 “Because the carnal mind [inclination and purpose, mentality of] is enmity [hostile, by reason and implication of being opposition with hatred (which is passionate dislike)] against God: for it is not subject to [subordinate, submissive to obey, put under in obedience and subjection to] → the law [regulation of principles] of God, neither indeed can be.

(because they are opposites)

8 So then, they that are in [a fixed position in space or time, instrumentally and constructively in relation and resting in, on, by, about, after, given self wholly to, and under] the flesh —cannot please [be excitingly agreeable, and seek to be so unto] God.”

The literal definition of ‘please,’ stated here— is to be AGREEABLE and SEEK TO BEwith God; he is ‘well pleased’ with people like Abraham, Enoch, Deborah and the folks I listed previously— because they PLEASED HIM; which, by definition here means— they WERE AGREEABLE WITH HIM, and SOUGHT TO BE!

Ought we too come into agreement with God, as one with him, pleasing him— and remain in that FIXED POSITION in space and time, instrumentally constructing in relationship to him— resting in, on, by, about, going and following after, giving ourselves wholly to and under HIS SPIRIT— and thereby PLEASE HIM TOO!?

________________

9 “But you are not in the flesh— but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man has not the Spirit of Christ— he is not of his (family or seed).”

If— the conditional prerequisite word, used again and again throughout the entirety of the scriptures, both God and satan using its context.

IF— we are not resting in the flesh, fixed in position, adhering to it, in space and time (that’s this realm folks) —THEN, we will be walking, abiding, and dwelling with the Spirit of God; the Spirit of LIFE and the Spirit of the Law.

_______________

10 “And if Christ be in you— the body is dead, because of sin; but the Spirit is life— because of righteousness.”

This is stating, IF— Christ is in us, we will KILL THE FLESH MAN NATURE, and we will do it —because of sin; and how we will do it, is by UPHOLDING CHRIST’S RIGHTEOUSNESS— by the Spirit of Life himself, who dwells in our temple now.

Upholding the transgressing nature— sin— will cause our man to perish; but upholding the LIFE FORCE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, as that is God’s person and nature, character and conduct— we will UPHOLD LIFE ITSELF within us.

Which will we choose— this day?

Which kingdom, and its nature— will we choose to uphold, in our conduct, character, nature, and attributes: God holy, and his fruits and nature? Or— satan, sin, transgressing and opposing God’s nature and character?

His righteousness (found in his holy nature) coincides with justice, being just, and proper judgment —as God judges and discerns;

and it must be upheld within the man willingly.

Deuteronomy 33:1, 10 & 20-21

“And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

10 They shall teach Jacob your judgments, and Israel your law: they shall put incense before you, and whole burnt sacrifice upon your altar.

20 And of Gad he said— Blessed be he who enlarges Gad: he dwells as a lion, and tears the arm with the crown of the head.

21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people— he executed the justice [righteousness, rightness, rectitude— correct or right behavior, moral virtue and virtuous actions] of the Lord, and his judgments [verdict, judicial decree, suits and crimes with sentencing, by manner of law] with Israel.”

2 Samuel 8:11-15

12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer— son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

13 And David got him a name when he returned from smiting the Syrians in the valley of salt— being eighteen thousand men.

14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons [military posts, officers, pillars], and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.

15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment [verdict, judicial decree, suits and crimes with sentencing, by manner of law] and justice [righteousness, rightness, rectitude— correct or right behavior, moral virtue and virtuous actions] unto all his people.”

8 Happy are your men, happy are these, your servants, who stand continually before you, and who hear your wisdom.

9 Blessed be the Lord your God— who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel: because the Lord loved Israel for ever, therefore he made you king— to do judgment [verdict, judicial decree, suits and crimes with sentencing, by manner of law] and justice [righteousness, rightness, rectitude— correct or right behavior, moral virtue and virtuous actions].”

This was spoken by the Queen of Sheba, speaking of Solomon.

“You have a mighty arm [reach of power]: strong is your hand, and high [exalted] is your right hand [the stronger hand].

14 Justice and judgment are the habitation [fixture and foundation] of your throne [seat of rule]: mercy [kindness, piety, reproof, beauty, good deeds, pity] and truth [stability, trustworthiness, established faithful, right and with verity] shall go before your face [presence, person].

15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound [clamor, battle cry, trumpets and alarm sounding]: they shall walk, O Lord— in the light [illumination] of your countenance [face, looks, regard, presence, person].

29 His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne [seat of dominion] as the days of heaven.

30 If his children forsake my law [precepts— general regulating rule, behavior and thought], and walk not in my judgments;

31 If they break my statutes [appointed custom, manner and ordinances], and keep not my commandments [ordinances and precepts];

34 My covenant [cutting, separating compact, confederacy and in league with] —I will not break, nor alter the thing that has gone out of my lips.

35 Once, have I sworn by my holiness [sanctity]— that I will not lie [deceive or be vain— empty] unto David.”

His mighty arm, or reach of power— and his strong and highly exalted hand—his right hand, or the strong hand of God…

Walks in Justice and judgment —and they are the habitation, or fixture and foundation of God’s throne— or seat of rule: mercy, or kindness, piety, reproof, beauty, good deeds, pity and truth [stability, trustworthiness, established faithful, right and with verity] shall go before his face.

And BLESSED— are those who are the people who know the joyful sound— or clamoring, battle cry, trumpet and alarm sounding— of who God is, how he operates, and conducts his person: in justice and judgment.

This type of man’s children— will endure, forever; and if they transgress God and his way— God will be faithful to them, to visit corrections upon them; this is his grace and mercy extended— to pull them from the fire of perdition.

He swears he will uphold his sanctity, truthfulness and holiness to David, and he will not lie to him, or be vain— empty in his promises.

Did we gather that God’s mercy involves— REPROOF, which is correction?

Did we gather that God’s throne is FIXED FOUNDATIONALLY in ‘Justice and Judgement?’

Did we gather that BLESSED are the people who will KNOW the joyful sound of the clamor, battle cry, trumpet and alarm sounding of all this truth of God’s person?

And that these folk shall walk with the Lord— in the light, or illumination of his countenance, or— face, looks, regard, presence, and PERSON?!

Choosing to uphold his covenant— is a good idea; choosing not to go against his nature or person— is a good idea. But even if we do— he is faithful, meaning— firm, and unwaveringly loyal— to REPROVE and CORRECT US, with whippings, with the rod of his correction: and that is his MERCY, as stated above— it comes with REPROOF.

Walking in his righteous paths, ancient ways, nature, character, and attributes— is to our benefit; and he will chastens everyone he loves— he said; and he will scourge EVERY SON— he said.

Hebrews 12:6-7

“For whom the Lord loves— he chastens [trains, disciplines, educates and teaches], and scourges [flogs/whips] every son whom he receives [admits in].

7 If you endure [stay under and remain in perseverance and fortitude] chastening— God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he, whom the father does not chasten?”

Everyone that the Lord RECEIVES (that’s whom he adopts into his family, unto himself) —he trains, disciplines, educates and teaches; he as well— scourges them, flogging them and whipping them into shape.

IF— there’s that prerequisite again, that stipulating factor…

IF— you endure— or, stay under, remain abiding with God, persevering with fortitude to follow him, and be obedient to him— the CHASTENING, or the— training, disciplining, educating he’s working, as he reforms us: essentially— willingly choosing it all with him, to return to his image, and be fathered by him, in his ways.

THEN— we will be addressed and treated as ‘his sons,’ or his seedling ones who desire to become one with him.

Because what kind of son— refuses to be led and corrected in his paths, of the Father??

Proverbs 1:1-7

“The proverbs of Solomon— the son of David, king of Israel:

2 To know wisdom and instruction— to perceive the words of understanding; 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 4 To give subtlety to the simple, and to the young man → knowledge and discretion.

5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning (a pupil, a disciple, and disciplined one); and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

7 The fear of the Lord— is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Are we desiring God’s wisdom and instruction??

Are we walking and wanting to walk his righteous paths??

Note how many times the 7 spirits of God are mentioned in these verses; are we desiring to know God, and to walk as God walks?

Because that is the purpose of the 7 spirits of God— to raise us up ‘in the ways’ of God.

To know wisdom and instruction— to perceive the words of understanding….To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity…. To give subtlety to the simple, and to the young man → knowledge and discretion.

Equity— the quality of being fair and impartial, justice; with a root definition of— Middle English, from Old French equité, from Latin aequitas, from aequus ‘equal’.

Is our conduct equal in equity with God— are we desiring to attain his character, conduct, nature and principles into ourselves— walking fair, impartial, with and in JUSTICE??

Discretion— the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense; root definition— Middle English, in the sense ‘discernment’: via Old French from Latin discretio(n- ) ‘separation’ (in late Latin ‘discernment’, from discernere (see discern).

Discern— perceive or recognize, distinguish by sight— or other senses; root definition— late Middle English: via Old French from Latin discernere, from dis- ‘apart’ + cernere ‘to separate’.

Are we??

Are we desiring to walk as God walks, or to be in the image of God holy again?

To walk in equity, equal with his throne we desire, as to be seated like a king beside him— but are we equal in desiring and attaining his character too???

Are we apt to use discretion— NOT TO BEHAVE IN A WAY TO CAUSE OFFENSE, and to be SEPARATE— using DISCERNMENT, or ANALYZING to find out if we are??

And to discern properly we have to use our spiritual sight, and PULL THINGS APART, SEPARATING THEM— and analyze what’s inside: namely— our own person.

Are we??

I’ve been dealing with God showing me motes in people’s eyes, discerning another person’s pride— but blind to the timber in their own eyes, A LOT LATELY; and it’s in ‘his house,’ not the world.

Though— the world, or the flesh carnal nature— has gotten into them.

Judgment is coming to the house of God first— because we have not been conducting our person, with God, as God conducts his person; which means— God’s house, has been bowing to the carnal flesh within, and walking in pride: and so— judgment comes.

We have not, by far and large— been discerning, self analyzing, and self judging with and by the Spirit of God— and so, stronger corrections are coming in now.

I have been FLABBERGASTED with the level of blindness within the house, and body of Christ lately; absolutely, spiritually WRECKED— as I watch pride completely devastate people, and interpersonal relationships within the house of God fall— like a WRECKING BALL is pummeling them, with not much force, either.

He is attempting to lead us— but if we will not become a disciplined one, under the counsel and lead of his Spirit, and will walk according to the flesh, instead, and will not be corrected of it…

Stronger judgment comes in, as the little nudges, and attempts to turn our necks, to guide us onto the right paths— have been rejected, and the passions of the flesh— have overtaken us.

Proverbs 8

“Does wisdom not cry— and understanding put forth her voice??

2 She stands in the top of high places (within man), by the way in the places of the paths.

3 She cries at the gates— at the entry of the city— at the coming in, at the doors.

(The Door of Christ— where God pleads with us to open up to him, for real— and sup with him.)

4 Unto you, O men— I call (God is calling— can we hear him and his stable small voice?); and my voice is to → the sons of man.

5 O you simple— understand wisdom: and, you fools— be of an understanding heart.

6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips— shall be right things.

7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

9 They are all plain to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge.

10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge —rather than choice gold.

11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

12 I, wisdom— dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge —of witty inventions.

13 The fear of the Lord— is to hate evil: pride, arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth— do I hate.

14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

15 By me —kings reign, and princes decree JUSTICE.

16 By me —princes rule, and nobles, even all the JUDGES of the earth.

17 I love those who love me; and those who seek me early [painstakingly searching and enquiring]— shall find me.

18 Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue —than choice silver.

20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21 That I may cause those who love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

[note here, how the 7 spirits of God, the Father himself, and the voice of the Son of God— rings through in all these statements, and why he, and they— are brought forth to the sons of man; and that man was with God— from the beginning, and was the apple of his eye.]

24 When there were no depths— I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

32 Now therefore hearken unto me— O children: for blessed are they who KEEP MY WAYS.

33 Hear instruction— and be wise, and refuse it not.

(that means— we CAN choose to refuse instruction and wisdom— and the spirits thereof.)

34 Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 For whoso finds me— finds life, and shall obtain favor of the Lord.

36 But he that sins against me —wrongs his own soul: all they who hate melove death.”

I absolutely could not take only a little from this chapter, the whole of it is pertinent and so educational.

Are we DESIRING FOR GOD TO RAISE US UP, in ‘his paths,’ and ways, and return to his image??

For he has sent the 7 spirits, his Holy Spirit— the Spirit of the Lord, his Son and all their counsel… but if we continue to refuse him, all of him— in his attempts to convert us in our SOULS— we LOVE DEATH.

And folks, to LOVE death— is to love to be estranged from God, unagreeable, and in disunity with the living God → our Father in which we came from.

Will we continue to make excuses in our lives, our souls— with which God is attempting to get under submission to his Spirit, and lead us in the paths of righteousness??

Because— our very SOULS— are at stake; both now, and for all of eternity— should we continue to REFUSE his INSTRUCTION (discipline, disciples, students and pupils under him), and his WISDOM (conduct and character of his person).

Do we really want to return to his image??

And are we really putting effort into this marriage relationship to do so??

Ecclesiastes 5

“Keep your foot when you go to the house of God, and be more ready to HEAR, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they DO NOT CONSIDER —that they DO EVIL.

2 Be not rash with your mouth, and let not your heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven— and you, upon earth: therefore let your words be few.

3 For a dream comes through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by the multitude of words.

8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province— marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regards; and there be higher than they.”

9 Therefore judgment is far from us, neither does justice overtake us: we wait for light → but behold obscurity (motes in eyes, and blindness); for brightness → but we walk in darkness.

Romans 2:13-16

“For the hearers of the law are not just before God, but the DOERS of the law —shall be justified.

14 For when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, do— by nature— the things contained in the law— these, having not the law— are a law unto themselves:

15 Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience —also bears witness— and their thoughts, the mean while accusing or else excusing one another; 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ —according to my gospel.”

Strong’s definition of justified— render just, or innocent— righteous.

This speaking of doing the Law of the Spirit— being led in his ways, as explained in the old covenant, but by the lead of the Spirit, to reattain his nature and character conduct; not needing to be flawless— but to uphold that in which he upholds, and to see the beauty in his person, and how he conducts his person.

To regain his image— by being DOERS, not hearers only.

Galatians 3:11

“But no man is justified [rendered innocent] by the law (alone, outside of Christ) in the sight of God— evidently (that’s evident): for— The just shall live by faith.”

You show me your faith without works or deeds and actions— and I will show you my faith and fidelity, loyalty and resolution unto God— BY MY WORKS and DEEDS of ACTIONS.

James 2:17-20

“Even so faith— if it does not have works → is dead, being alone.

18 Yes, a man may say— You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works— and I will show you my faith → by my works.

19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But will you know— O vain man— that faith without works is dead?”

His point is— there is no such thing as faith without works; faith and actions go hand in hand— with which you are in faith of, or unto.

Faith, without ‘doing something,’ is alone, empty, and dead; DOERS OF THE WORD, and THE LAWwhich is his conduct and personal nature— are in faith unto God holy: fidelity, loyalty— upholding the covenant with him.

We have ‘works,’ all the time— and we have faith all the time; but WHOM IS IT UNTO, and WHAT ARE OUR WORKS??

Faith unto God holy, and on paths of righteousness, yielding righteous fruit and character? Or— faith unto satan, the carnal nature, excuses to not walk or effort after walking as God walks, conducts himself and fruits results of righteousness?

Because we are ‘working’ one of those 2 paths: the path of righteousness, the ancient paths; or the paths of unrighteousness, sin, and death: each has a conduct and character that yields actions, or WORKS.

We prove whose we are—

by what, and whose image we bear.

God’s

Just Justice, and Judgement

(God’s holiness and righteousness)

We cannot separate parts of God unto ourselves— and dismiss other parts of God; he is mercy, grace and love— but he is also, holiness, righteousness, just, walks in justice and judgment— as well.

And ‘if’ he is IN US— we will be called to the same walk, character and conduct.

Can we see clearly spiritually— or do we have a mote in our eyes, obscuring clear spiritual vision— where the Lord’s identity is concerned?

Because his identityis now our identity— IF, we are ‘in’ Christ Jesus.

It is by the Grace of God we are saved by our Faith in him; but, now— ought we not walk in that salvation with his Spirit— as One, together?
