Hosea 9
“Rejoice not, O Israel— for joy— as other people: for you have gone a-whoring from your God, you have loved a reward upon every corn-floor [increase gathered].
2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her. 3 They shall not dwell in the Lord's land [field: think Eden-like place with God]; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt (think bondage, estrangement from God), and they shall eat unclean [polluted, defiled] things in Assyria.
____
Eating unclean things, defiled things in the natural (bodily) is a reflection of what they have been eating spiritually, and taking into themselves. Not being allowed to dwell in the secret place with God, within them (akin to Eden, the garden of the Lord), is because they have long since vacated that relationship, and disrespected the secret place inside their minds, hearts, thoughts, devisings, intellect, conduct, and ways within them: all their wicked, material gains, will fail in this time period: the threshing floor will not prosper blessing unto them— but instead, they will be crushed and threshed on the threshing floor of God; and it will be unto their salvation to do so— giving them an opportunity to turn around, and face God properly, within— once again: the tribulation is for this.
____
4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; and all that eat thereof —shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the Lord.
____
What we will begin to see here, and in the natural world, even now, repeating itself— is that where we have gone astray, become polluted and defiled inside, and have given ourselves over to devils— whilst claiming to be in a marriage union covenant with the Lord… God is not mocked, what a man sows— he will reap back upon himself. Essentially— we will have a dearth in the earth— because there was a famine already for the word of God, inside men’s hearts/soils/souls/fields. And since man vacated the garden relationship with God— they will be caused to go live in Egypt (bondage), for it is who they came into league with, when they yoked not with God holy, but with the spirit of this world.
We will have this taking place once again— because God is not mocked. If we sow things with satan— we will reap things as satan reaps. And we will not be abiding in the Lord’s promise land— but will find ourselves in Egypt once again (bondage, slavery, and imprisonment): and it was a harsh circumstance they went into— with a goal of an abrupt awakening to righteousness; and thus it shall be again, for God is the same yesterday, today, and forever— and unfortunately, so is man: only a remnant has every stayed loyal in fidelity toward God. So— once again, a remnant will come forth, and through the fire, the tribulation, and the threshing— for the house of God has vacated union with the word of God.
____
5 What will you do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast [victim sacrifice] of the Lord?
6 For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up— and Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver— nettles [a stinging] shall possess them: thorns [pierced— like a ring for the nose; rings for noses in oxen and cattle— are to lead them around, submissively— like slave labor] shall be in their tabernacles [dwelling places].
7 The days of visitation [custody, charge, ordering, officiating, oversight, prison, reckoning] —are come— the days of recompense [requital— giving back what was given, retribution, reward] —are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool [perverse], the spiritual man— is mad [ravingly insane], for the multitude of your iniquity, and the great hatred [enmity].
8 The watchman of Ephraim —was with my God: but the prophet— is a snare of a fowler— in all his ways, and hatred [enmity] —is in the house of his God.
____
Someone WAS watching this all go down in the house of God— BUT— the prophet, who is supposed to be in alignment with the heart and mind of God, and heeding God— became as satan, and became a SNARE (meaning he’s exemplifying satanic ways) toward all the rest of the house of God: all his ways are enmity— or the enemy of God, holiness, and righteousness.
This is playing out once again— as the prophet has become a hireling, and has been leading the house of God astray— into worldliness, and material focus, prosperity in worldly ways— and all the while— entertaining devils, unawares.
And so— tribulation shaking comes— to shake up the house of God, and cause a true humility, and surrender— to come forth, that a remnant may be saved.
____
9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor— and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according to as they loved.
11 As for Ephraim— their glory [honor] shall fly away like a bird— from birth, and from the womb— and from conception.
12 Though they bring up their children— yet will I bereave them— that there shall not be a man left (taking their posterity, children, heritage— for they have squandered their spiritual heritage— lineage— in God, himself): yea, woe also to them— when I depart from them! (think ichabod– the glory has departed)
13 Ephraim— as/like I saw Tyrus— is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer [the smittor with deadly intent].
14 Give them, O Lord: what will you give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
____
Right now the house of God, in the first fruit remnant— is bringing forth, to deliver— maturity. But here— we see that the Lukewarm, or the fully reprobate— will not bring forth, and instead— will see the murder of her fruit, or the slaying of her prospering in the Lord: for immaturity reigns within— and so— tribulation comes to the house of God, and to the world, thereafter.
____
15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there— I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings— I will drive them out of my house— I will love them no more: all their princes [leadership, governors] are revolters [turned away morally, backslidden, stubborn and rebellious].
16 Ephraim is smitten— their root is dried up— they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth— yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
____
Here he is speaking of literal offspring— children dying— for they do not uphold righteousness, and thus— they themselves call the perishing upon themselves: sow and reap. But we should remember the spiritual implications of this— we are to bear fruit, and yea, we are— always; but whose fruit (conduct and ways) are we bearing out: God’s, or satan’s?
God is saying— even ‘if’ they bring a child into this world— it will be slain the same. So— even ‘if’ we think we bear the mature fruit of God, being like same as he is— upholding righteousness, and walking in the paths thereof— but we lie… our fruit will prove this feigned loyalty, and fidelity to God, the righteous King, and to godliness— which is righteousness of character: integrity.
____
17 My God will cast them away— because they did not hearken [intelligently hear him, give attention to him, obey him, consider him, discern him, perceive him, proclaim, regard, and give witness] unto him: and they shall be wanderers [driven away, and dispersed] among the nations.
_____
Hosea 10
“Israel is an empty vine, he brings forth fruit —unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he has increased the altars (of Baal, or self, or satan); according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images [memorials, idols].
2 Their heart— is divided; now shall they be found faulty [guilty]: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images [memorials of idols].
3 For now they shall say— We have no king, because we feared not the Lord; what then should a king do to us?
4 They have spoken words— swearing falsely— in making a covenant: thus judgment springs up as hemlock [generally poison— even of serpents] in the furrows of the field [soil: symbolic of the heart field].
5 The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven [the house of vanity]: for the people thereof shall mourn over it— and the priests, thereof, that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof— because it departed from it.
6 It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb [meaning— he will contend]: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel. 7 As for Samaria— her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
8 The high places [elevation: hence, exaltation] also of Aven [which means— idolatry] —the sin of Israel— shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come upon their altars; and they shall say to the mountains— Cover us; and to the hills— Fall on us.
____
Luke 23:28-31
“But Jesus turning unto them said— Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me— but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29 For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say— Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the paps which never gave suck. 30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains— Fall on us; and to the hills— Cover us. 31 For if they do these things in a green tree (good times of plenty), what shall be done in the dry?”
____
True— if man will be wicked in the goodtimes— how much more so in the days of famine and dearth in the earth? Jesus is alluding to a repeat in the latter days— to what took place back here, in the book, and days of Hosea: where the godly married a prostitute wife, akin to God— marrying an adulterous and idolatrous people— and what came because of this.
____
9 O Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity— did not overtake them.
10 It is in my desire that I should chastise them [instruct, correct, reform, punish, and sore teach them]; and the people shall be gathered against them— when they shall bind [join] themselves in their two furrows [eyes, thinking, face, presence].
11 Ephraim is as a heifer that is taught [goaded, incentivized, instructed], and who loves to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck [her welfare]: I will make Ephraim to ride [be ridden like a horse, backing a horse]; Judah— shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods [work the field].
____
It’s time, through adversity— for the house of God to get to work, and plow the long since fallow ground/soil/soul, field of the heart of man— unto righteousness, and reverence to the King of kings, and Lord of lords: and live in verity with God, which is real reality— genuine, and authentic truth, godliness, love, righteousness, and piety.
____
12 Sow to yourselves— in righteousness, (and you will) reap in— mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord— till he comes and rains righteousness upon you.
13 You have plowed wickedness— you have reaped iniquity; you have eaten the fruit of lies: because you trusted in your (own) way, in the multitude of your mighty [powerful, chief] men.
14 Therefore shall a tumult [uproar, and destruction] arise among your people, and all your fortresses [strongholds, and fortifications] —shall be spoiled— as Shalman (Assyrian king) spoiled Betharbel [which means— house of God’s ambush] —in the day of battle: the mother [the bond of that family (ties that bind, spiritual)] was dashed in pieces upon her children [what was built, offspring, fruit, of the quality or condition].
15 So shall Bethel [the house of God] do unto you— because of your great wickedness [moral evil]: in a morning —shall the king of Israel —utterly shall be cut off.
____
Here we see that God is pleading with his people to sow in their hearts, minds, strength, center of their inner man, thoughts and intents— righteousness— for in this, they will reap mercy; which means— kindness, piety, beauty, favor, goodliness, and pity— unto themselves. He says— it’s time to seek the Lord, so he can rain righteousness upon them; which means— moral and legal right, equity, justice: essentially— sow righteousness— reap righteousness.
But his household would not, and instead of plowing hard work in righteousness within them, they plowed and planted wickedness; and so, destruction comes to the people of God— by the ambush of God, himself. And the bondage ties that his people have yoked up to satan with— will essentially hang themselves, and dash their fruit (all they produce in this world) to pieces, because of the quality and condition of their field (soul) that they have furnished, and established within.
And in a short time— the royal reign of Israel (the people who are supposed to have God rule them) —shall be cut off: this again— is coming in tribulation and judgment; because God has been long-sufferingly patient, pleading with his household of people— to come out of Babylon, and get Babylon out of them: to get delivered of the ties to satan, and to get healed of our infirmities— spiritually speaking.
The tribulation— is for this cause.
God seeks to gather unto himself— a reverent people, who applaud righteousness, and godliness, and God himself is exalted within them. God desires to save people— and if they continue walking contrary to him, and contending with him, contesting him— they will perish in the way: and he desires that none would perish, but that all would repent, and be saved. So he will give us this opportunity— through adverse times of judgment— for us to see the error of our ways, and return to face him and his righteousness, and once again— be clothed therein.
He has a law of sow and reap— and he holds it off for as long as possible, whilst he pleads with his people to repent. But eventually— the time of reckoning back to man what he has sown— comes due: this is judgment tribulation, with an intent for man to see what he has really been in league with— and how it has not been— God Almighty, and his righteousness— that has been sought after.
Matthew 6:33
“seek ye first the kingdom (the King’s domain) of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
If we will not— we are not upholding a covenant compact with God, with righteousness, with holiness— and indeed— we are hypocrites, liars, adulterers, and idolatrous.
He will show each man this— IF— each man will revere him and the truth within: he does tell each man to ‘seek this’ for himself: to seek— one must pursue.
____
Hosea 11
“When Israel was a child— I loved him, and called my son— out of Egypt.
2 As they called them, so they went [walked] from them [facing them, honoring them, in their presence, countenance, and person]: they sacrificed unto Baalim [plural devils], and burned incense to graven images.
3 I taught Ephraim also, to go [how to walk] —taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them [stitched and made them whole: he referencing the righteous walk with God, in union to him]. 4 I drew them with cords of a man— with bands of love: and I was to them as they that (or as one who) takes off the yoke on their jaws— and I laid meat unto them.
5 He shall not return [turn again, retreat] into the land of Egypt— and the Assyrian (empire) shall be his king— because they refused to return. 6 And the sword shall abide on his cities— and shall consume his branches, and devour them— because of their own counsels [purposes and devices].
7 And my people are bent into backsliding from me [apostatizing]: though they called them to the most High— none at all would exalt him.
8 How shall I give you up, Ephraim? How shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you as Admah [which means earthy: he’s attempting to show them their carnality that has been exalted, and not him— and yet he desires to save them]? How shall I set you as Zeboim [gazelles]? My heart is turned within me— my repentings [solace] are kindled [intertwined, and deeply affected] together.
9 I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God— and not man; the Holy One is in the midst of you: and I will not enter into the city.
____
Here we see God breaking inside himself— if he altogether destroys them, it will crush him— even though they are earthy, or carnal; so he says he will repent of this full destruction, and he will not enter into the city (come nigh them) with full anger (justly so, even), and he will not destroy them (though, he will sharply chasten them, and cause them to reform, through much hardship). Because— he states— I am not as you men, I am God— and I do things differently— which is, he walks out his character: mercy, forgiveness, kindness, and faithfulness— even if we do not.
For he will remain faithful and true— even if man does not; and that can be counted upon, relied upon— and hence, if only man would repent and turn to him again, walk in righteousness, and keep himself clean in his spiritual garment— he shall be saved: and this— is the agenda.
____
10 They shall walk after the Lord: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar— then the children shall tremble from the west.
11 They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses— saith the Lord. 12 Ephraim compasses me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet rules with God— and is faithful with the saints.
____
This part reminds me of this verse— for the elect's sake (Judah) —the time will be shortened (even if all the rest of the household is reprobate).
Matthew 24:20-22
“But pray that your flight be not in the winter, nor on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time— no— nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened— there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”
God will bring in harsh judgment— like no one has ever seen, but just as like how Ephraim, and Israel have walked in whoredoms in the book, and time period of Hosea (he who married a prostitute) —the faithfulness of the ‘celebrated,’ the house of Judah— stayed the hand of the Lord, from utterly destroying them altogether.
This is the same— in the latter days: for the elect’s sake— the time of tribulation and judgment— shall be shortened in years.
____
Hosea 12
“Ephraim feeds on wind, and follows after the east wind: he daily increases— lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
____
Oil is symbolic of the anointing, and the true relationship with God and his righteousness: and here we see it’s facing captivity, judgment, and hardship— as Egypt is referenced, once again.
____
2 The Lord has also a controversy [contesting with, contending, and striving in a suit] with Judah— and will punish Jacob (symbolic name: Israel) according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him. 3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength— he had power with God: 4 Yea, he had power over the angel [dispatched deputy, messenger, prophet or priest, or teacher, ambassador], and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication [kindness, graciousness, and mercy] unto him: he found him in Bethel [in the house of God], and there he spake with us; 5 the Lord God of hosts; the Lord is his memorial [remembrance].
6 Therefore turn to your God: keep mercy and judgment —and wait on your God continually.
____
Again, God is pleading with his people— in whom he has issue with, calling them to remember him in days past— and to honor him once again in their lives: and that they should face their Maker once again, keep his conduct, precepts, and statutes of character and behavior: mercy and good judgment, and wait on God continually (serve him continually).
This is how all wayward men are saved.
____
7 He (I believe he’s speaking of Jacob/Israel) is a merchant [humiliated, a trafficker], the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loves to oppress [defraud].
8 And Ephraim said— Yet I have become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labors they shall find no iniquity in me— that is— sin.
9 And I, that am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt, and I will yet make you to dwell in tabernacles— as in the days of the solemn feast.
10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes— by the ministry of the prophets.
11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? Surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields (again— referencing the hearts of men).
12 Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel [symbolic name for Jacob, the people of God, and his posterity] —served [like a bondman, servant] for a wife [as/like a woman], and for a wife [or, as/like the lesser vessel] —he kept.
13 And by a prophet [inspired man of God] —the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet— was he preserved [hedged in and kept].
14 Ephraim— (however) provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him— and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
____
Each man will give account for what he does in his body— before the Lord— he said so: Romans 14:12 – “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:10 – “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body— according to what he has done— whether it be good or bad.”
And this last verse reminds me of this verse, in the latter end of Revelation 22:11 – “He that is unjust— let him be unjust, still: and he which is filthy— let him be filthy, still: and he that is righteous— let him be righteous, still: and he that is holy— let him be holy, still.”
There comes a time— when all things will be set to rest, and there will be no more day to strive with God, to come around and repent— and as it lies, so shall it be.
I pray— during this tribulation time— the man in the house of God, shall see his error, turn around again, face God holy, revere him— and his righteousness— and will humble himself before him, and be saved: God, I pray this unto a remnant of seed.
____
Hosea 13
“When Ephraim spoke— trembling— he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in [trespassed against] Baal— he died.
2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver— and idols according to their own understanding [intelligence, argument, and reason: did we note that— leaning on our own understanding, in and of itself— is idolatry toward God and his headship over us, as Father, and as God and Lord of us] —all of it —the work of the craftsmen (who is not God, but man— his own works): they say of them— Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves [frisk around].
3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passes away— as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
4 Yet I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt— and you shall know no god but me: for there is no savior —beside (but) me.
5 I did know you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought. 6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled— and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them: 8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart— and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
9 O Israel, you have destroyed yourself; but in me— is your help.
10 I will be your king: where is any other that may save you in all your cities? And your judges of whom you said— Give me a king and princes?
11 I gave you a king in my anger— and took him away in my wrath. (speaking of Saul)
12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up [distressing and oppressing]; his sin is hidden [lurking in secret]. 13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son (we are to be WISE virgins— which means— chaste unto our Lord); for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children [fruit, offspring, coming forth].
____
Our Lord seeks repentance, and to turn around man’s fate— through the rescue of his faculties, coming into his right mind, and actions of righteousness— as he reengages God, holiness, and righteousness within him, once again: there is a point to all of this— and it is the salvation of souls, the repentance of man (turning around to face God and his righteousness once again), and to recover man— well— from his own leadership and ruin (imprisonment to the spirit of this world).
____
14 I will ransom [bring them back, deliver, rescue] them —from the power of the grave [pestilence and ruin]; I will redeem them— from death [pestilence and ruin]: O death [state or place of ruin]— I will be your plagues [destroying]; O grave [pestilence and ruin], I will be your destruction [or extermination]: repentance shall be hid from my eyes.
____
Our Lord is attempting to speak of his heart's desire to save man— to overcome death, the state of being estranged from God, and in league with hell and satan— and cause ruin to death (or estrangement) itself. To redeem man back from his fallen state— into reformation of the previous state of godliness, in the image and likeness of God himself.
But he will bring forth the spiritual law of sow and reap: best we choose repentance, and so we are not hidden from the eye of God.
____
15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren— an east wind shall come, the wind of the Lord shall come up from the wilderness— and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she has rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
_____
Hosea 14
“O Israel— return unto the Lord your God; for you have fallen by your iniquity.
2 Take with you, words— and turn to the Lord: say unto him— Take away all iniquity (from us— this is a call to humility, and cleansing of the heart), and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride [be dispatched upon horseback] upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands— You are our gods: for in you —the fatherless, find mercy.
____
BIG statements are made here, big discerning is happening here. God is first pleading with his household to repent— and to cease their iniquity, to cease their wicked ways, and exalt God holy and his righteousness in them, once again. Then Israel says— Help us to become clean again, take away the iniquity of our hearts— which is a call to the cleansing work of the Holy Spirit of God, within them —and then receive us back in good standing graces with you— as we render our lips unto you.
No one else will save us— not horses, or chariots— only the Spirit of the Living God, and revering him— in a loyal relationship. And in that— we will no longer say that it is we, ourselves, who are gods; and we became fatherless— as we exalted ourselves, but God— in his mercy, may he save us, as we repent.
THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT TO DESCRIBING BABYLON, and why we need to come out of her, and get her out of us (deliver us from her prison bondage, and then heal us inside— to get her out of us). And this is EXACTLY— God’s heart and desire: that man should repent (turn to him again) and BE SAVED: which means— RECONCILED.
And this— is the true meaning of the salvation of the Lord God, unto his people: this is true relationship— and the exact opposite of feigned religion.
____
4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for my anger is turned away from him. 5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. 6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree [the oil tree— the illumination tree (symbolic of Jesus— the Life tree), and the anointing of Christ], and his smell— as Lebanon [the white snow mountain: symbolic of the Mountain of the Lord God, himself].
7 They that dwell under his shadow [shade] —shall return [turn back again: symbolic of repentance]; they shall revive [be recovered] as the corn, and grow [flourish] as the vine (no longer cut off, or withered, restored): the scent [recollection and commemoration] thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon [the white snow mountain: symbolic of the Mountain of the Lord God, himself].
8 Ephraim shall say— What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him [intelligently hear him, give attention to him, obey him, consider him, discern him, perceive him, proclaim, regard, and give witness] —and observed [inspected, searched out, surveyed, cared for, regarded and beheld] him: I am like a green [prosperous, flourishing] fir tree [figuratively— a musical instrument]. From me —is your fruit [bough (or branch) first fruit, and reward] found [existing, presented, occurring, and has taken hold].
9 Who is wise [a wise hearted man] —and he shall understand [mentally distinguish, attend to, consider, discern, have intelligence unto, perceive, regard, and teach] these things? Prudent [same as understand, but means— foreseeing, and sharing care and thought for the future] —that he shall know them?
For the ways of the Lord are right [straight, and upright] —and the just [lawful righteous man] shall walk in them: but the transgressors [the apostate] —shall fall [stumble, decay, and be overthrown] therein.”
______________________________
This last verse reminds me of the Truth of the Word, the Cornerstone himself— that becomes a stumbling block to those who exalt him, and it, not: and this is the warning of the Lord, for every man will give an honest account unto God, individually— and the holy Spirit will witness it all. (1 John 5)
But ULTIMATELY— God is attempting to RECONCILE wayward man, and he does this by showing man the law of sow and reap— and letting each man see what he has been upholding in his body, in the lifetime he was given in this realm: to hopefully, cause a man to repent and turn back to God, and desire holiness within them.
All tribulation that comes from judgment— is to WAKE MAN UP to his wicked ways— so that, while it is yet day (while there is yet time), man should repent and be saved.
We see in the very beginning of Hosea that the man of God married a prostitute— foreshadowing the rise of Christ, who would give himself to a whorish people, and yet— call and desire for them to come out from Babylonian living (hedonism, and wicked ways), and into the glorious light of God, and godliness.
He said at the end of chapter one, verses 10 & 11…
10 “Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea (they will keep reproducing, bringing forth), which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them— You are not my people— there, it shall be said unto them— You are the sons of the living God.”
We see he has a FUTURE expectation, and encounter, as well as a repentant turn around to accomplish in this rebellious, idolatrous, and spiritually adulterous people— complete correction and reformation— through a great humbling unto repentance (or turn around) unto serving God again, exalting God again, and the righteousness of God inside their vessels.
11 “Then (referencing a future state or condition) shall the children of Judah [celebration] and the children of Israel [he will rule— God] be gathered [assembled] together [united, alike, joined], and appoint [set up, consider, and regard] themselves —one head [principal, ruling, priest, chief, captain], and they shall come up [ascend] out of the land [field]: for great shall be the day of Jezreel [God’s sowing].”
He’s attempting to SOW HIS FIELD (the souls of men, their hearts), into his people, and his people to walk in ‘his’ field, or heart— not the wicked hearts of man, that are unregenerate.
So— we see him state from the beginning— what his intent is; and then— we see at the end of Hosea 14— that his desire is the same, and that with his household’s cooperation— he will be able to redeem a people who chose to repent, reform, be cleansed, purified, refined, and recovered.
ALL OF THIS STORY— all of this, repeats: but, as with the rebellion and harlotry repeated— so does the mercies of God repeat; and if we will hearken unto God again, and if we will be delivered and healed— we will exit the prison of Babylon, come into his truth again (it is the key that opens the prison gates of hell and bondage— that removes the shackles), and find ourselves in his arms again, in his embrace— in his mercy (love extended, unearned, but bestowed upon the man who desires to exalt God, and his righteousness).
There is a goal here, to recover the wayward and imprisoned man: saving them from Babylon, and ridding Babylon— from them: deliverance of the Truth, and embracing God in his arms of mercy, once again (healing).
The Lord’s ministers— his first fruit company of priests— have been in the process of being freed and mended/stitched back together in their souls— for a while now. And they will be the front line workers (and already are) for the great recovery, and harvest of souls: the harvest— is truly rescuing people from the clutches of darkness, and into the glorious liberty (freedom) of being a child of God, adopted into the Kingdom of our Lord.
Babylon— is a state of being, as we have seen here in the book and story of Hosea. And Babylon— get’s itself into people, and her ways— the ways of the harlot— infect God’s household; but with every infection— there is a cure, a period of cleansing, and then— they are pronounced clean again, if one will go through the proper protocol with God.
It is true— Babylon exists, and it exists as the place of captured souls— it is in league with hell. But it is also true— that God intends to save as many as will be saved— and he has priests to help us with this.
The tribulations, the shakings and hardships man goes through— are to give each man a time and place to turn around, get real, get honest, and get repentant unto God, and his righteousness once again: it is a rescue mission— but first, the prideful— must realize they are, as God shows the results of sow and reap; so that they can see the error of their ways— and come out from among her (Babylon, captivity, depravity, and imprisonment of souls).
Many are a broken soul in this realm— and the healing balm of the Lord comes forth as a salve to heal her wound: it is he himself— that is the balm, it is he himself that is the love, it is he himself— that binds up the broken hearted: but he does have a priesthood who will be willing vessels, in earthen vessels— who will render themselves over to him, to use them— as the instruments of love, that they are: clean, pure, with the fruit of the Spirit of God established, and erect— inside of them: they are vessels of honor— for they have honored the Lord their God— in the land of living (their bodies/person/souls/heart).
This is a rescue mission— where God has married a harlot, and yet— desires to deliver her from this, clean her up, recover her whole unto himself— and love her: she will need to, once again, give herself to him. She will need to once again— turn toward him in her loyalty, in her fidelity— and pledge herself to him, and he will take her unto himself again— and he will restore her to her former glory: his— covering her.
Your soul matters so much to God— that he desires to save you and free you with his truth (where you do not believe in him, inside, where you have run far from him, and have found yourself bound up in chains of estrangement), and then— when he is able to convince you of his truth, his person, his love— he desires to embrace you fully once again— and HEAL YOU: wholeness in Christ Jesus, rescue, recovery, salvation, freedom, and LOVE!
This is all waiting for man— I pray we take him up on this offer to partner with him again, and uphold the covenant with him: for his goal is to save those that will be.
He desires that none should perish— but they are, in many ways— and so, he will shake things up, to wake people up— and give them an opportunity to couple with the Way, the Truth, and Life in Christ Jesus: and he will bring on the scene— his first fruits— to facilitate this recovery mission.
They will go up against giants in the lives of other people— for God has conquered giants in them, with them, in cooperation, collaborating together: and so— the deliverers will come on the scene, to bring about the greatest recovery mission of all time: he has waited for this for MILLENNIA!
But first— for a little while, calamity and shaking will come: but in it, so shall the opportunity to be saved, and reconciled to the living God— come. And man shall see the face of God— in his earthen vessels, and many shall come to salvation— as he comes to his temples, quickly.
Maturity— is birthed out, and she shall bring forth her fruit into the earth, and many will be saved: losing a dirt suit isn’t the most important thing— losing one's soul into hell, and the lake of fire, and not reuniting to God forever— is.
We will see many saved, and many will cross over during the tribulation— but we will also see a remnant come forth, grow up in the Lord, and do great exploits of faith with him— as he manifests himself through his vessels of honor: for they do honor him, within.
This has ALWAYS been a ‘recover them from Babylon’ mission: for Babylon has existed— since the fall of Lucifer, and subsequently— mankind. God has always been planning how he would redeem man, buy them back with his blood and his love— and give himself to a filthy people (a prostitute). But he has, as well— always desired that she should repent, clean up, become spotless and wrinkle-free in her heart’s, conduct, ways, mind, and lives: for he is coming, and he is coming for her— his woman, and he’s bidding her to come to him now, and to reform.
Because he desires to save all who will be saved, and recover all who desire to be recovered: and he has a people coming forth to help him in this: they are warrior priests. They are holy as he is holy, they are clean as he is clean, and they serve the High Priest day and night in the holiest of places within God; and God is in the high places within them.
He will bring these online— as the tribulation unrolls, and as the need for them increases: and we will see many come to the Lord, in true repentance, and true desire to be saved.
Darkness will be fought, light will prevail, souls will be recovered and saved— freed and healed, the family of God will grow, and they will go head-to-head with the devil: but these are the warrior priests of the Lord— and it is he, himself— who manifest in them, and out of them, and will go before them preparing the way, and will show up within them— when they face the giants of the land (fields).
Much happens in a war— and calamity will come; but so will victory in Christ Jesus: and eventually— that victory, that increase in holiness, repentance, reformation, and light shed abroad— will usher the King in, and his Millennial Reign: and then— satan will be bound for a thousand years, and we will see the peace of the Lord recovered in the land. All will see who he is, and who his people are— and many will come home to God, in their hearts/soils/souls/fields: and in this— THE LAND WILL BE HEALED. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
He is desiring to ‘heal the land,’ which is the souls/soils of men: the field— he desires— to return us to Eden, within, and walk in the cool of the day— in his Spirit— with him, in his love.
There is a reason we talk about Babylon— because God has a desire to rescue us from it, and get it out of us— so that we become New Jerusalem, the people of— and we walk in wholeness, healed, recovered, freed, and in the shalom of the Lord God.
We speak of Babylon— so that people will come out of her, and come into the place, and city, of the people of God: a new place, a new man, a new creation, a new freedom, a new love, a new union unto God— where he himself dwells with his people forevermore: and this— is the invitation, and the reason we call all to come out of Babylon; for there is an opposite, there is another place— a city shining with the glory of God, a tree of Life, a pure river of life, pearls, gold, silver, and all precious things.
Revelation 21:1-7
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying— Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people— and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said— Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me— Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me— It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
Revelation 22:12, 14, 20 & 21
“Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Blessed are they that do his command— that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so— come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”
