Isaiah 28:11-13

“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

To whom he said— This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.”

Prayer

"Lord, in your infinite mercy, we come before you today, weary souls seeking the solace of your presence. As we stand before your tabernacle and the ark of the covenant— a symbol of your abiding love; we surrender our burdens and anxieties, knowing that here, in this sacred space, we can find true rest.

Fill our hearts with your peace, like a balm to our troubled minds. Ease the weight of our cares, and renew our strength in your grace. Let us be refreshed by your spirit, as we draw near to you, the source of all comfort and hope.

Guide us to your word, a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, and may we find wisdom and direction in its teachings. We thank you for your unwavering faithfulness, and for the promise of eternal rest that awaits us in your kingdom.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."
