“The Heart of the Father— alive in Christ:

Alive in us through Christ”

2 Corinthians 5:14-21

“For the love [G26: the benevolent love feast of charity/agape] of Christ constrains [G4912: holds us together, around, sieges us, and arrests] us; because we thus judge— that if one died for all, then were all dead:  And that he died for all— that they who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

{This is descriptive of these verses:  Galatians 2:19-21 – “For I, through the law, am dead to the law— that I might live unto God.  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I— but Christ [G5547: Messiah] lives [G2198: alive and quickened] in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh— I live by the faith [G4102: reliance upon Christ and the truth] of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.  I do not frustrate [G114: set aside and violate] the grace [G5485: graciousness] of God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate]: for if righteousness came by the law, then Christ is dead in vain [G1432: without a cause, for no reason].”}

Wherefore, henceforth [G3568: immediately, and presently (from now on)] we know no man after the flesh [G4561: human nature (with its frailties— physically or morally, and its passions), or specifically— a human being (and as such): carnally (minded), fleshly]: yes, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth we know him no more (after the flesh).

Therefore if any man be in [G1722: positioned, instrumentally resting, in or among] Christ— he is a new creature [G2937: formation (form), with building ordinance: root definition— ‘put in order’]: old [G744: primeval— primitive, elementary] things are passed away [G3928: perished]; behold— all things are become new [G2537: fresh, with respect to age].

And all things are of [G1537: denoting the origin: coming from] God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate], who has reconciled us [G2644: mutually changed us, compounding a difference] to himself by [G1223: a channel (like a river) through] Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry [to attend, aid, and serve/service] of reconciliation [G2643: exchange— figuratively adjustment, that is restoration to (the divine): atonement (at-one-ment) reconciliation].

To wit [G5613: in this manner] —that God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate] was in [positioned, instrumentally resting, in or among] Christ, reconciling [G2644: mutually changed us, compounding a difference] the world [G2889: orderly arrangement that is decoration; by implication the world: (in a wide or narrow sense) including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively— morally: adorning (lustrous, beautiful) world] to himself— not imputing [G3049: not adding it to them, counting, and laying it to them, thinking on it] their trespasses [G3900: a side slip (lapse or deviation) that is— unintentional error, or (wilful) transgression: fall, fault, offense, sin, trespass] to them.

And has committed unto us the word [G3056: something said (including thought); a topic (subject of discourse) also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; the Divine Expression (that is Christ): utterance, word, work] of reconciliation [G2643: exchange— figuratively adjustment, that is restoration to (the divine): atonement (at-one-ment) reconciliation].

Now then— we are ambassadors [G4243: to be a senior that is (by implication) act as a representative, figuratively— preachers] for Christ, as though God did beseech [G3870: call and desire] you, by [G1223: a channel (like a river) through] us: we pray you in Christ's stead— be  reconciled [G2644: mutually changed us, compounding a difference] to God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate].

For he had made him to (Jesus) be sin [G266: offensive] for us— who knew no sin [G266: offense (against God/godliness)]; that we might be made [be finished, fulfilled, partake, and perform, become] the righteousness [G1343: equity of character or actions] of God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate] —in [G1722: positioned, instrumentally resting, in or among] him.”

Ephesians 6:11-18

“Put on the whole armor [panoply: in the sense— ‘complete protection for spiritual warfare:’ from French panoplie or modern Latin panoplia ‘full armor’, from Greek, from pan ‘all’ + hopla ‘arms’] of God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate], that you may be able to stand [G2476: hold up] against the wiles [G3180: travesty and trickery] of the devil [G1228: the traducer, false accuser, and slanderer].

For we wrestle [G3823: vibrate] not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate], that you may be able to withstand [G436: stand against —that is oppose: resist, withstand] in the evil [G4190: hurtful, evil, effect, malice] day, and having done [G2716: accomplished and performed] all, to stand [G2476: hold up].

Stand [G2476: hold up] therefore, having your loins girt about with truth [G225: verity— true, or real], and having on the breastplate of righteousness [G1343: equity of character or actions];  And your feet shod with the preparation of (prepared with) the gospel of peace [G1515: quietness rest + set at one again];  Above all— taking the shield [G2375: a large shield (as door shaped): shield] of faith [G4102: reliance upon Christ and the truth], wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts [G956: missiles, spears, arrows] of the wicked [G4190: hurtful, evil, effect, malice].

And take the helmet [G4030: the encirclement of the head] of salvation [G4992: defender and defense], and the sword [G3162: the judicial war knife (which is the truth)] of the Spirit [G4151: the current of breath or breeze, the vital principle disposition of God— Christ’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, his spiritual mind], which is the word [G4487: utterances, matters, or topics] of God [G2316: the supreme divinity magistrate].

Praying [G4336: humbly, earnestly, ask in worship] always, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit [G4151: the current of breath or breeze, the vital principle disposition of God— Christ’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, his spiritual mind], and watching [G69: staying awake] thereunto with all perseverance [G4343: persistence] and supplication [G1162: petitioning] for all saints [G40: sacred— connected with God (physically pure morally blameless or religious ceremonially consecrated)].”
